This just wasn't for me. I'm sure I've read the author before and really enjoyed his work but I struggled with this one. I liked the premise but when it came to pass, it was just clichéd and lacking. The men were these horrific characters that noone would ever tolerate. And the main character makes the most idiotic choices in following the bf, trashing the bar and walking 30 miles in the dark!! Who in their right mind would ever decide that was the best option?! That said, it is a fiction so no doubt a few unrealistic elements can be excused but I just felt it kind of dragged on and was really predictable. That said, definitely check out the authors other books because they were amazing! This just isn't the best place to start

Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the copy of I won’t Let You Go. The writing was tough for me. Do people really refer to women as ‘chicks’ any more? Or put up with the man they are dating speaking to the woman he is trying to break up with in such a cruel, condescending way? As the book went on, the main character made one decision after the other. I got the feeling that the author doesn’t respect women and thinks they need a man to save them. What could have been a tense cat and mouse chase turned into a ‘meh’ story. Not an author I will ever read again

I actually enjoyed this story a lot more than I was expecting. I loved the plot twists and turns and the overall thrill of it! Emily’s character had some issues but I still found myself quite liking her!
That being said this book did have some issues. Mainly, the biggest issue that I had was that this book took 7 chapters before anything happened. It felt a little bit dragged out. I feel as though it was quite slow going at times.
This book has a 3 star review for me because I feel like it had so much potential and I don’t feel it was executed in the best way. However, I still enjoyed the content of it!

Loved that the storyline was something completely different and nothing else compares. Very edgy and intriguing. Kept me guessing all throughout the book on how it was going to end.

This was a satisfying read that kept my interest throughout. I enjoyed the writing and plot a lot and would definitely be interested in reading more by this author in the future.
Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for allowing me this copy to read and review.
I think a lot of readers will enjoy this one.

Story ⭐⭐⭐⭐
WHAT ON EARTH!! I mad the mistake of starting this cat and mouse book late on a friday night while I was home alone and then was scared by every single sound!
First time trying Cole Baxter but after this I'm heading over to the Kindle store to see what else is available.

This was my first book by Cole Baxter and definitely won't be my last! I really enjoyed reading this one, it had all the elements I was looking for... mystery, suspense, thriller, a little action, and a lot of crazy! The storyline was so crazy that all I kept thinking about was what a great movie this would make! Very well written and worth the read.
Thanks to NetGalley for my arc.

Emily finds a note under her apartment door that says her live-in boyfriend is cheating on her. She follows him to an out of town bar to confront him. There, Daniel, a man at the bar, tries to pick her up. When he won’t take no for an answer, it’s a story of cat and mouse that kept me turning the pages!
I’m a fan of Cole Baxter and enjoyed the fast paced thrill of a ride in this story that takes place all in one night. It was borderline horror story as I was scared for Emily and trying to figure out what her options were. This was a satisfying read and ended well.
Thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Emily is devastated to get a note through her door saying that her boyfriend is cheating on her. But that's just the start of her problems. She goes to confront him at a remote bar where she also turns down a man called Daniel trying to chat her up. Then her car won't start, she has no signal, and is forced to start the long walk home. And then Daniel reappears... a thrilling story of cat and mouse that keeps you turning the pages until the end. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

The cover and title caught my eye but the blurb sounded good so I grabbed this book.
What did I like? Emily finds a note under her door that her partner Jeremy is cheating on her. One thing leads to one of the worst nights of Emily’s life. Hounded by a stranger then chased, Emily comes full circle in a gruesome tale.
Would I recommend or buy? The book was okay, I made it through. I just felt like some of the timing was off through out the book. Some things just didn’t add up. The police knew so much yet so little…. Two stars.
I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left this review.

Emily's day has gone from bad to worse to deadly. Just when she thinks it can't get worse, her tormentor finds a new way to mess with her mind as she tries to find a safe way home in the dark.
I enjoyed the setting that was just outside Edmonton in the Canadian Prairies. While Emily's night spirals, there are a few moments of victory that punctuate the storyline. I Won't Let You Go by Cole Baxter is an enjoyable read. The plot is straightforward without being obvious. While I wish the pace was a bit faster, I enjoyed reading this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read this in a day ! Couldn’t put it down. Just when you think nothing else could possibly happen in this story something comes along and makes your jaw drop. It was an emotional ride !.

Emily is devastated when she receives an anonymous note proving her long term boyfriend has been cheating on her.
Determined to confront him, she tracks him to a seedy bar far off the highway and they have a massive row. As she storms out the door, she rejects a stranger named Daniel who tries to pick her up.
When she returns to her car, it won’t start. Even worse, her phone has no signal, and no way is she going back into the bar to ask her boyfriend for help.
Emily has no choice but to walk. As she trudges down the desolate highway, Daniel drives by and offers her a ride, she’s scared by his sudden reappearance and refuses him again.
But Daniel won’t take no for an answer. As Emily walks on, he keeps coming back and each time he is more threatening, more menacing. As this terrifying game of cat and mouse steadily escalates, Emily begins to wonder if she’ll ever get off this lonely road alive.
But who is Daniel really? And what does he know about Emily?
Wow totally gripping really enjoyable read totally recommend
