This is informative, in an easy to read context.
This would make a great read for anyone interested in such topics. I would imagine this would be a more excellent gift however full of factual and useful information.
An enjoyable read.
I bought a copy of this last year and have loved going through month by month, dipping in and out through the different sections. The illustrations this year are even more gorgeous and there's loads of extra bits of information. These would look so lovely as a keepsake collection to line up on your shelf!
I love the book and the illustrations. I will be buying in paperback to enjoy fully. A year guide which is a must. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.
Leendertz’s Seasonal Almanac’s are a must buy as far as I’m concerned. Beautifully designed, the month-by-month guide to the natural world is perfect for dipping in and out of as the seasons pass. From seasonal food, to tide charts, to folklore, it makes a gorgeous companion to 2023.

I fell in love with the gorgeous cover and loved this almanac. I want to buy it in paper as I loved what I saw and it's a fascinating read.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Such a lovely book. I am really looking forward to reading it all next year. I have dipped into it and have already been absolutely delighted by it.
Meticulously Crafted,,,
A month by month guide, season by season, to the world around us in this meticulously crafted and composed Almanac for 2023. A classic of its kind, filled to the brim with information both of the practical and the wondrous and beautifully illustrated. The reader will find themselves referring to this edition time and time again.
Thank you to Octopus publishing and the author for the opportunity to read this ARC in return for an honest review.
The cover drew me to want to request this book. Is that not the prettiest cover ever. It’s so summery!! The content itself is just as fantastic. A total compendium for 2023 providing information about the moon cycle, the sea temperature, zodiac information and some seasonal recipes fitting with the holidays next year. I have quickly read through this but I know I will be returning to this each month next year as a reference guide.
Definitely worth a look and a read if you like reference style books. I’d almost be tempted to get this in a hard back copy for decoration in the kitchen!
This is such a gem of a book. A great coffee table book which details so much each month. My favourite sections are the gardening (I need all the help I can get!) and the recipes. Can't wait to get stuck in.
A beautiful book which would make a wonderful gift for those that love nature and the outdoors. This has many different sections such as about the solar system and the tide and moon phases, as well notes about gardens and ponds. It also has a zodiac section. But my favourite is the overview of each month and the emphasis on the seasons. It also includes seasonal recipes which are fantastic.
This is a genuinely handy seasonal guidebook for lovers of all things rural.
It contains information for each month to do with nature, dates, moon phases, interesting facts and an appropriate recipe.
The watercolour illustrations are perfect for the subject and beautiful.
My moon and nature loving 10 year old will find this incredibly useful throughout the year.
A wonderful and very useful book.
Fascinating, month by month guide to nature. There is so much information in this book as well as diagrams and charts! Really interesting!
I'm a big fan of the yearly Almanac and this is no exception. I love how inclusive it is by including many religious and non religious events or celebrations. Moon, tide, and daylight tracking are all present as usual, as are seasonal planting recommendations and recipes. Again, the recipes seem very well chosen for those that perhaps are regionally or culturally relevant throughout the year. There certainly a couple that spiked my interest.
Having listened to Lia on line, she has a very calm and soothing demeanor, and this really comes through in the book, it has that vibe. The one thing I'm less interested in is perhaps the folk songs. Mainly as I can't read music and therefore find them not easy to do anything with. That aside, a lovely book to follow throughout 2023
