I found this book to be an enthralling read and one where I felt like I was on a journey with the lead character from the offset. This book has everything you would want from a prison-based novel. Mcbray's experience of being a cat A inmate had me gripped and wanting to carry on reading. Chin also doesn't hold back on the realities of prison violence, corruption and the drug trading that goes on 'inside'. Can one character seriously have any more bad luck than Mcbray has? I found myself sympathising with him and cheering for him in equal measure.
