Overall I quite liked this book for its thought-provoking character study. I highlighted a lot of perspectives, particularly from the wife and the husband, that either resonated with me or I thought would be really interesting viewpoints to debate.

The hatred between the best friend and the husband was very entertaining. All three characters had individual characteristics that I both liked and disliked - which I appreciated because its more fun for me as a reader if my feelings towards characters aren't always straightforward and goes through highs and lows.

Although the ending was quite abrupt, for this story I wasn't actually mad at it like I usually am when books have this type of ending.

I did struggle a lot initially that the story was written without the use of speech marks, but I eventually settled into it (though I would have preferred they were used).

I look forward to seeing how this book is received by others when released!

This is a slice of life book. Which is not something I normally read but I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book.

Short but sweet (and sour), this is a must for fans of My Sister The Serial Killer, Wahala and general Nigerian drama. A young wife and her husband endure (and in the wife's case, enjoy) the presence of her anarchic friend Temi, who hasn't given up on her best friend returning to the no-marriage-and-kids plans of their youth.

Surrounded by sex, wine and doomed attempts at getting some work done, their evening unravels in an Abigail's Party style. Would work really well as a play or one of those 10-minute-episode series that seem to be popular at the moment (like 'Cheaters' or State of the Union) as there's not quite enough to build a longer piece of art on, but what we do have is delicious, and deliciously naughty.
