Given ARC by Net Galley and KR Press for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
Danger was definitely on the rise in this book. Starting on page one. I forgot that this is part of the Red Stone Security, series. Teague is going Rouge to help Lana out so other than a few phone calls from his boss there isn't much of a connection. I enjoyed the fact, it made it seem like a stand alone book.
Danger Rising (Red Stone Security Series Book 20) by Katie Reus
I love this series - Katie never disappoints! This is Lana and Teague's story full of angst, danger, deception, evil, grief, laughter, tears, new and old friends and plenty of steam to get us to a very HEA. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I hated to stop reading to eat and sleep. I can't wait to find out what Katie has for us next.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Wonderful characters Haunting Action-packed Twisted Easy-to-read Entertaining Great world building Page-turner Unpredictable Happily Ever After Witty informative Tragic Romantic Steamy Tear-jerker Scary.
I enjoyed reading and review this book,
This one is a winner! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Lana is a nurse with a non-traditional past and Teague is a black ops agent who lives life on the edge. When they meet, they realize there's something special there, but then Teagues job takes him away and Lana is told he died. When he returns just in time to help her, she doesn't know whether to yell at him or kiss him - or maybe a bit of both.
When Lana's target starts getting paranoid, the danger increases dramatically and it's a good thing that Teague is there to help her. All she wants is her stolen family heirloom back, but the cost might be her life.
This book had me on the edge of my seat, turning pages just as quickly as possible. The author is a master at her craft and fans of the genre will want to put this novel at the top of their TBR list. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.
