Do you narrator of these books were actually really good and usually some books. The narrator can pull me off of a story, but this narrator sucked me in and I engolfed the whole entire story in one day. I have been very lucky to be accepted for the first book and this book in the series so I was really excited when I got accepted for this second book and I’ve been waiting for her book and it did not disappoint. I am so happy and so blessed to have been able to read this. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is getting into the October mood recently and I will definitely be rereading in the future. I absolutely love this series and I cannot wait for the third instalment as I just love the brother and his werewolf a hidden vibes. this book specifically was cute. It had kind of enemies to lovers, more like misunderstanding to love us where he had a crush on her, but he was kind of an arse, so she was really annoyed at him, and it grows into them being a rivalry storeowner, and then them falling in love with some witchy mystery vibes added in

A fun, light hearted witchy rom com that I would recommend to any romance lovers! The characters were loveable and relatable and I loved the chemistry between them! Great narration too which made the story even better in my opinion!

4*’s. Objectively I think this is better than the ex hex. The romance had more going for it with the will they won’t they antogaonism, rival shop owners and tense relationship from uni but something about it didn’t give me the 5* feelings of the first one. I think The Ex Hex was the first in this romance books that feel contemporary but have fantastical elements and I read it at just the right time. This was really fun though and I am 100% continuing with this series and reading anything and everything in this sub genre I can get my hands on. Also who doesn’t love a throwback to fanfic sex pollen. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of the book.

This was an amazing listening experience! I also got the chance to buy the book and read it and it just as great. This was by first audio ARC and so thoroughly enjoyed it!

I can't wait to see what else Elen Stirling has in store for us! It's hard to find good supernatural romances, but Stirling's books never disappoint.

Thank you to the publisher for kindly providing me with an ARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

AHHH i just LOVE this series, quick choppy and cute.
I read this in one sitting in a day and loved it.
Granted nothing makes sense and the plot has more holes that swiss cheese but that's not the point.. great witchy love story.

HOWEVER.... the Welsh accents were NOT IT. I am Welsh and they sounded... Scottish?? Irish??
Had the narrator ever heard a welsh accent or did they just make it up?

I love the way Erin Sterling writes - I always feel completely immersed in the story-telling and I love the depiction of the characters. I enjoyed the narration and think I would enjoy this as a physical book too.

When Llewellyn 'Wells' Penhallow arrives at Graves Glen, Gwyn will soon have competition on her hands when he opens a shop similar to hers across the street. But soon these two rivals will have to team together to find out what is happening in the town and more than one type of spark with fly.

If you have read the Ex Hex, you must read the Kiss Curse, because this was even better than the first novel. I completely fell in love with Wells and loved Gwyn's attitude. This novel has a fantastic narrative filled with the perfect amount of romance and spice and has even more magic! We see the return of Sir Purrcervil and also hear about Vivi and Rhys. This is the second book in the series and I highly recommend reading The Ex Hex first, you will not be disappointed with either,

I cannot recommend this novel enough and I look forward to reading more by this author.

So…I may have missed out on The Ex Hex trend last October, but I made sure I didn’t miss out on a trend this time! Although, I was a month late as Halloween season is now over…

Thank you to NetGalley and Headline Audio for the chance to listen to this book, because I loved every second of it. I’m normally a huge critic of rom-coms as often I find them very predictable and not very well thought-through.

But The Kiss Curse took me by surprise. So, thank you Erin Sterling!

I am a huge fan of anything supernatural so when you mix witches and romance, this is the best potion a girl could ask for. I was rooting for Gwyn and Wells from the moment they met at the bachelorette party she threw, to when Gwyn’s smile dropped the moment she saw him open a store right opposite hers. Their chemistry was so well-built and left the reader in anticipation throughout. It was interesting how Wells was first made to seem as the antagonist, but immediately warmed his way into my heart so I was very much shocked by the twist towards the end when I found out about Gwyn’s powers. Erin Sterling really cast a spell on me with this book.
Another part I enjoyed, and actually laughed whilst listening on the bus, was when the baby witches travelled to where Wells’ brother Bowen (I think?) lived (but how they got there and why I will let you read for yourselves). The baby witches were such great supporting characters and really made the image of Graves Glen more real to me.

Overall, I really enjoyed this audiobook, and I was really drawn into the world of witches, curses and surprise.
P.S. I did not realise this was a sequel to The Ex Hex until I finished it, so now I must read that one too! (My Kindle is judging me from the corner of the room, as the title has been sitting there since last October waiting to be opened…).

I enjoyed this one SO much more than the first book! I loved Gwynn & Wells! The book moved at a suitable pace and the audio was a suitable pace.

I enjoyed the interactions with the younger witches!

I think the narrator did well telling this story, I enjoyed how Gwynn was narrated, Wells however would have benefitted from a male voice.

The Kiss Curse is the second in the series following the hugely successful The Ex Hex. I read the two books back to back in October in an attempt to feel Halloween Festive. I have to say I think I preferred The Kiss Curse. The scene had been set in The Ex Hex and the characters established meaning the second book in the series could focus on the plot which was enjoyable. I like sequels that focus on minor characters from a book before but still give tip bits of information on previous, much loved characters. In this case The Kiss Curse revolves around Gwyn and Wells who are both interesting characters and Sir Percival is back (and still the star of the show). Like the first the book is a fun and enjoyable modern witchy read. I thought the story flowed better in the sequel and although I think the series is over-hyped it is everything you'd hope the sequel would be.

I absolutely adored this deliciously autumnal, spicy romcom, I had the most fun! The Kiss Curse takes us back to Grave’s Glen for another cosy, humorous read full of magic, charm and spice with the perfect autumnal aesthetic. It’s full of witchiness, with a sprinkling of enemies to lovers and a sumptuous grumps meets sunshine romance!

This is a lovely feel good enemies to lovers romance. We return to the characters from the ex hex but this time there is a very real threat in town and Gwyn with the help of Wells Penthallow need to try to keep the magic safe.
As their feeling blossom it becomes clear they will not remain enemies for long.

The Kiss Curse is the 2nd in The Ex Hex series. This was the perfect book to kick off the spooky season with. A fun rom-com, this book feels like you’re reading an episode of Sabrina. Of the two books in the series, I think I preferred this one. Gwyn is such a fun character, and I was glad to see her have her own moment to shine.

Whilst this a cute, cosy read, and perfect for autumn, I did feel the ending was rushed and the accents in the audiobook were questionable. (The Welsh accent sounded more like a mix of both Scottish and Irish).

3.5 stars.
I enjoyed this book more than the Ex Hex (which I also listened to). I preferred the romance in this one. The narration was also very good.

Loved this read, Gwyn is so sassy and Wells countered her brilliantly. The dialogue in this was engaging, I loved the banter between the characters and the whole book was fast paced. It wasn’t as spicy as I anticipated but I also don’t think it needed it.
IMO the plot was pretty rushed, the climax of the story happened pretty much in the last forty pages. I feel like there could have been more of a build up/context/plot building and more show instead of tell. But overall, it was okay.
Tropes:
enemies to lovers
forced proximity
business competition

First off a very big thankyou to penguin random house for such a brilliant book .

romance , hate to love , paranormal fiction .humour ,

Oh my gosh new favourite romcom alert !! Erin defiantly had me spellbound with this book .The story sucked me in and kept me very intrigued the whole time I was reading it ,the story has you guessing a lot of the time and suspicious about every character ., there is also very dark witchy parts in the story which I really enjoyed .

The setting of the story gave me bit of practical magic meets Gilmore girl vibes with a little of American horror chucked in for good measure . perfect . I loved they had a coffee shop called The Coffee Cauldron as well as the main characters shops called Penhallows and Something Wicked brilliant wish I could live there . the whole story oozed autumn vibes just what we need this time of year , and for all you smut queens out there it has plenty of that for you love a little spice wink nudge.

The characters well I have my favourites starting with wells and Gwaya both very clever , witty , very stubborn they worked so wells together .if you have read The Ex Hex then you will already know Vivi and Rhys which both played there parts in this story and Bowen which I'm hoping if we see more books come out would be great to learn more , every character in this story is just fantastic .

The plot was brilliant plot twists yes there is a few , I gasped a few times I was definitely blind sided .Erin writing was spellbinding she totally pulled this out of the witches hat. a very high recommendation for all you romcom witchy loves

I'm giving this book 5 witchy stars

Quirky read that got me in the mood for spooky season. A really fun read for the run up to Halloween!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishers for letting me read this book in exchange for my review.

I haven't read the ex hex yet (its on the shelf) but i don't feel that ruined the experience.

I listened to this in one sitting, Shannon McManus narration was clear, easy to listen and absorbed you into the story and really enjoyed the welsh accent for wells.

I loved Gwyns character and her rivalry with wells, as he opens a shop opposite hers. The rivalry between Gwyn and Wells was entertaining and seeing what they to out do the other.

There was enemies to lovers, magic, rivalry, friendship, mischief. It did get a bit smutty in parts.
It was also the right balance of romance, funny, witchy without being serious which made it a light easy witchy read, which the plot slowly unravels throughout building up to the conclusion.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with a copy of the audiobook for an honest review.
