If you love the books by Leslie North, this one will not disappoint. It's based on the same winning structure and themes as the previous ones, and with a Christmas theme thrown in for a seasonal read; in short a perfect romance novel with the expected HEA.
Starting their relationship based on lies - not to each other but to everyone around them - Will and Suzanna, try to live up to expectations but unexpected emotions are developed in the process.
A sweet, feel-good, easy to read story, perfect for Christmas.

I have never read Leslie North before, but I'm excited to watch this writer grow. The premise is wonderful...a widowed, single father who wants to get his family off his back to start dating again...a curvy romance writer in need of a ranch...and Christmas. Truly, the story was wonderful. I enjoyed it and read it very quickly. That being said, I feel like North might be a newer writer. The transitions between scenes were a little stilted. I kept waiting to read more about how the characters were feeling but instead it was written in a very surface level way. I could definitely see and understand the writer's intentions but I just felt like there could be MORE. Overall, a very solid introduction to this author and I look forward to seeing a follow up maybe with the side characters.

Cowboy’s Christmas Girlfriend
By Leslie North
Susanna’s latest book is a romance on a ranch. She didn’t try to correct her publisher when they thought Susanna herself was a rancher. It adds to the authenticity, right? Well that ends when her publisher want a story about Susanna’s ranch to publicize the book. Will is a rancher and widower with two young girls who has befriended Susanna online through her research about ranching for her book. He’s happy with his life, but his mom, sister, and aunt are constantly trying to fix him up with women. He and Susanna come up with the idea to tell a few white lies, she’ll come visit as his girlfriend and he’ll help with the publicity for her book. Nothing could go wrong, right???
I really enjoyed watching Susanna and Will fall in love. Susanna longs to be accepted for who she is and it seems Will does, however, is a relationship too risky for Will? He leads his live by risk assessment, and he’s not sure he can risk being with Susanna if it doesn’t work and will hurt his girls. Their new relationship cast against a long-term relationship of his friends Kat and Taison, really brought home the importance of being truthful about how you feel and what you want out of life. I was emotional and humorous, and had really likeable characters. I’m looking forward to seeing Will’s sister Sarah get her own story! I received an arc of this book through NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I really enjoyed this story, Will and Suzanna are internet friends who agree to a fake relationship to help her with her publisher and him to stop his family pushing women at him. Once they meet in person a HEA is inevitable especially with his two little girls approving.

This is a quick read and I really enjoyed it. I like most of Leslie North's books, but this one sits higher on my list than most. Will and Suzanna think they can fake a relationship to fix both of their problems. I thought this would be a long windup to the HEA, but once they get together in person, the book really takes off and I just really loved both of them. Again, this is a quick read, but trust me when I say it is an enjoyable one. Cute, sweet and just a really happy read for me. 4.5 stars rounded to 5.
Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy!

Will and Suzanna move very fast in the beginning. Will stressed out over it and tried to end it all. His family had something to say about that. Suzanna is great for not only Will but his twin girls too.
