This is a helpful resource to use for learning Italian, although I am not sure that you could learn the language fully solely from this book and audio. I think that if you were just looking to learn some limited language and also to gain a better understanding of the ethen it would do that, but to fully learn and become fluent then I think it would need to be used alongside another learning resource.
Overall a useful language learning tool.

I feel like this is a really good supplement to another method of learning of the language. While I was dipping my toe into learning some Italian before a holiday I was not super serious about it (currently learning Spanish and the languages are too similar for me to learn both at once!)

I think it is a good book, and pronunciation is at the forefront with I appreciate as this is always my weakest point in learning languages (especially self learning) as you will normally be speaking these languages.

Unfortunately I didn’t find this to be an effective way to learn a language. I appreciated that it discusses pronunciation, and the audio app pronounced some words to show you what they mean by where the inflection falls, but it seemed to take a circuitous route to learning a language, whereas I find the most effective way is to first teach some words, then show how to make sentences of them, then introducing more words and longer sentences etc. It felt like this book dived you straight in the middle and expected you to already know lots of Italian
