This book is ideal for anyone like me who struggles with keeping on top of the often demanding needs of some of those luxurious gardens people tend to within communities. As a rather terrible gardener (as far as my Dad is concerned!), I need all the help I can get, and a focus on low-maintenance plants is ideal for me.

I love how the book is structured, with easy sections and a way to dip in and out of whatever is relevant to you in that moment. There are lots of photos, and it helps you select the right plants for your space and the needs you can manage, so you can still have variety and beauty in your garden. It also has clever hints on general garden care and maintenance, tips to improve areas that often get forgotten (like the cracks between the paving stones!), and even hints for layouts and design.

I really enjoy DK books so am happy there's one that's ideal for my kind of garden - I'd certainly recommend to others and will be looking for a hard copy for myself :)

A good intro to gardening, full of lovely pictures. It's more about plants than maintenance but it can be useful it you are at the beginning.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine
