I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Making Memories is a great book to introduce children to mindfulness and the different ways they can practice it. The book gives a brief introduction then goes on to focus on different things they can do or practice to help them make positive memories, practice mindfulness and express themselves. The book gives short introductions to things such as journaling, scrapbooking, meditation, keeping spaces happy and tidy, gratitude and much more more. Each page is bright and colourful and engaging.
Children need more these days to help them with their mental health and practicing mindfulness is a great tool to have. I definitely recommend this book for children aged 9+.

This book doesn’t just give ideas on how to journal it focuses on mindfulness.
I like how the different concepts are described so if you’ve never heard of something before, the general concept of it is nicely explained.
Lots of different mindful activities to do.
(Special Thanks to Net Galley, Amy Tangerine & DK for this Amazing Book!)

I did like this book and it definitely shares some creative inspiration. I especially liked the mix of arty activities and outside activities. I know students that would enjoy the tactile and mindful aspects of the activities suggested.
The design is bright and engaging, although some students, especially KS1, would find the font type a bit tricky to decipher.
Unfortunately I feel the book lacked originality in the ideas proposed and wasn't able to distinguish itself from similar publications. HOWEVER I am a very creative person and therefore have more experience with these sorts of activities and ideas than perhaps other younger readers with less experience.

An enjoyable read that would make an excellent birthday gift.

This is a really beautiful book all about how children can encompass mindfulness and peaceful into their day. It focused on how to journal and make your own scrapbook, aswell as providing various activity ideas for how to add mindfulness into your routine. There was some fantastic ideas that we are already implementing. I'd 100% buy this book in physical copy to add to our collection. My son loved the ideas in this book!

This is a really lovely and useful book.

I am the mum to a very anxious child and I was blown away by a lot of the ideas contained in the book.

It is a very gentle and accessible entry to mindfulness aimed at younger children.

The layout of the book is perfect, full of information and ideas but not overwhelming and I loved the bright colour palette used.

Bonus points for the tidy room, tidy mind chapter!

Many thanks to the publisher for providing me with a digital ARC through Netgalley for an honest review.
