From the 'solving problems I didn't know existed' shelf comes this book, which is a touch-and-feel volume for tiny hands that involves the use of zero plastic, and remains a hundred per cent recyclable. What that means is that all the textures we are looking to touch are all the same cardboard, and all the same ridged example at that, but the book does this kind of thing well. We are on a safari to seek an elephant but all the other animals are there first, snoozing away beneath a lion's mane (cardboard), bearing their cardboardy hippo teeth, and eating cardboard-flavoured grass. Young fingers will love the sort of bonus cutaways, though, so details from one image get previewed in the previous or hang around for the next, but all told there's very little to dismiss here at all beyond the perhaps key lack of variety. A strong four stars, then.

Touch and Feel books are extremely popular with parents of babies and toddlers. The plastic content in the "touch" materials is a current cause for concern. I appreciate that "Eco Baby: Where Are You Elephant?" published by DK is a plastic-free Touch and Feel book.

However, as I read a digital ARC I am not able to comment on the full experience of the book.

The book takes you and your baby/toddler on a sensory and visual journey to find an elephant in a jungle. You and the child would have plenty of opportunities to discuss various animals, their habits and habitats while going through this book. As the children grow older, this would be a cherished book in their learning-to-read journey.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. #NetGalley #EcoBabyWhereAreYouElephant

This is a cute little touch and feel board book for young children, which is plastic free. It has a basic, but lovely story, about the search for an elephant in Africa, while along the way we meet his friends, giraffe, lion, hippo and zebra.

The book has beautiful illustrations, which show the natural world and the wild animals, as well as basic and simple text, which young children will enjoy.

My daughter and I enjoyed reading the book.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.
