This was a weird book. It started off pretty strong, in my opinion, and then as the book went on, it was still good but way different than what I expected. The writing style held me in and even if I didn't like the characters, I still went for the finish line and boy, was it crazy. I was like half way to depressed for the next day or so. It wasn't all that bad, just not my vibe. I say give it go if the other reviews you read convince you and I just threw a wrench but if you're looking for a happier book, or a sad book but with happy ending, this may not be it for you.

While I enjoyed the story, I expected more confrontations with Ben's family. It took a while to figure out who was who due to a the guys.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Summer and Ben. Summer works at a casino. Ben is an artist. There is an instant attraction. They start dating. They each have their issues but together they work them out and fall in love. They get married.

Heartbreaking at times. Also, my cheeks hurt from smiling through this delightful book. This one kept me hooked and entertained until the last page… The characters each have these little pieces that make them such believable characters! This fabulous summer read is a gentle reminder love never gives up on anyone.

An awesome, heartwarming, full of emotions love and life story. Erin tells a tale full of fun, emotions, rage at everything life throws to Ben and Summer trying to tear them apart but only making their bond stronger. It's a story to be listened to. The audiobook is so full of power thanks to the amazing job of Zachary Webber and Ava Erikson More than five star worth.

Absolutly heartbreaking!
"More With You" is the debut novel by Erin Spencer. In this novel, the author tells her own love story through the fictional characters Summer and Ben, set 20 years ago.
I find it really hard to rate this story. Because if I do, I am also evaluating Erin Spencer's life and choices, even though she herself says that there is some fiction involved here. That's why I'm going to consider this a purely fictional work.
I liked Erin Spencer's writing style. I also found it very easy to get into the story.
Summer and Ben are characters that really grew quickly on me. Summer was likeable to me from the first time I met her. She works a lot and is a very genuine person. I could really relate to her insecurities about Ben and the scenes with her and Grace were just sugar!
Ben comes from a rich family but has the soul of an artist. Unlike his parents, who had some really cringe-worthy behavior, he was very kind and protective, even if he had some secrets.
The story dragged a bit at some points, unfortunately. Ben's letters I found really nice as indents, only you noticed while reading that they were written by a woman.
From me "More with you" gets 4 out of 5 stars.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.

I want to start by saying I got an ARC of this book, so thank you for that. I had a difficult time getting into this book in the beginning. It felt very slow and drawn out. The middle and end were better but I still found myself not really wanting to pick up the book. There were nice moments in the book.. romantic and steamy, but overall the book felt a little lackluster and predictable. I know this book is based on the author true story, so this hurts to write, but I write this with the utmost respect.

Oh my!! My heart!!!
This book is a telling of an epic love, the kind that we all dream about as little girls, but it’s one that I’m not sure my heart was ready for. Every emotion was experienced, and I’m pretty sure that I fell for Ben right along with Summer.
Ben was the small town boy who had stepped out of the shadow of his influential parents. Even though they still tried to control him, he stood his ground. The way he stood behind Summer & showed his full support was inspiring.
Summer had been dealt a raw hand in life, but she just kept picking up, dusting off, & moving on to the next adventure.
Everything about the relationship between Ben & Summer was magical. Their connection even on a base level was potent. Their chemistry as their relationship blossomed was palpable & their connection inevitable. Their whirlwind romance was so much more and so deeply ingrained within them both.
Again, my heart wasn’t prepared, but even through tragedy & hardships, bright moments can shine and show a deeper side to the people around us.
I both read & listened to the audiobook of this book.
Ava Erickson’s portrayal of Summer was so heartfelt and emotional. Zachary Webber portrayed Ben in a way that made it easy to fall hard and fast.
I can’t wait for Erin’s next installment. With this being her debut solo book, she knocked it out of the park!

Checked out this book from NetGalley following the rave reviews I saw on Goodreads. The opening hinted at where the story would go, which was ok with me because I was there for the ride (a bit of pun there). The in-between writing was very poetic and fanciful. It's clear the author polished these sections to shine. I'm a fanciful poet myself, so I recognize its romance. For others, I can imagine it can cause some cringing. Overall story was just ok.

‘Let this be summer and forever. A summer that never ends.’
More With You by Erin Spencer is our first by this Author and what a moving and emotional introduction it turned out to be. Ben and Summer’s story of love was beautiful, poignant, and ever so heart-breaking. It took us a little while to connect to this story, as well as feel the intense connection between these two characters, but once it clicked, we felt it with our whole hearts. One of the most wonderful and unique moments in this story was that we got Ben’s pov in the form of diary entries or letters, whichever way you look at them. His heart was fully immersed in those pages. An artist, a poet, and a wonderful storyteller.
‘I can’t help but smile, thinking of her: the parts I know, the parts I don’t. Beautifully sad, or sadly beautiful; I’m not sure which.’
Summer has had a tough upbringing and has personal burdens on her young shoulders for which she must pay and work hard. Summer moves from place to place unable to establish her roots, but she has finally found what could possibly be her home. Working in a casino she meets both the good and the ugly in society. It is the good that finds her when the ugly decides to strike. When Summer meets the thirty-six-year-old Ben by him coming to her rescue there’s an instant attraction. However, Summer is a strong believer in fate and is very reluctant to reveal her story to just anyone. So, meeting again is placed into the hands of fate.
‘When she’s in my arms, and my lips are on hers, I see a kaleidoscope of color. Colors I have no name for. Colors that don’t exist anywhere else but in her kiss. I want to dip my brush into them and spill them on canvas, painting something the world has never seen.’
Summer is an insatiable reader, and her only friend is the wonderful Mrs. T. who owns the small-town’s bookstore which Summer frequents often. That is until the wonderful Ben is placed in her path. Neither are looking for love, especially Summer, however, the heart wants who it wants. Ben is everything his wealthy family isn’t. He’s laidback, an artist, a writer, and shows such kindness and compassion. How can Summer resist him? And who wouldn’t take the chance on a pure true love when it knocks on your door unexpectedly? Despite everything that works against them, Ben and Summer stay true to each other through the depths of their love for one another. You never know how long you have to wait for this kind of love or how long it lasts, so grab it with both hands and hold it close to your heart.
“If it’s meant to be, you’ll find me.”
More With You is partly based on the Author, Erin Spencer’s life which made this story feel like, more. More power behind the words and more power behind the emotions. It felt incredibly overwhelming at one point in this story, and we felt everything! Make sure you read the afterword by Erin Spencer as in our opinion it delivered the real closure. More With You will have you feeling a myriad of emotions from infatuation, anger, hopelessness, love, hope, and heartbreak. Get ready for one hell of a journey.
‘This is where I’ll end this chapter. On fresh white pages, I’ll start anew, to tell the never-ending tale of the greatest love of my life. That summer. That endless summer…with him.’

More With You is a story from the author which includes elements of a true story, this novel was heart-wrenching, passionate and beautiful.
Filled with glorious sunsets, a small fun loving town and characters you fall in love with, this novel has it all.
Summer was such an incredible character to read, she was headstrong, confident and mature. She tackled situations with a clear head, making decisions out of logic instead of emotions overwhelming her, she’s a great character to look up to.
Ben had me at hello, he was the perfect love interest and although I don’t usually enjoy instantaneous love, the chemistry was undeniable and the story wouldn’t have worked if this trope wasn’t included.
It was refreshing reading about a child who was fun, sassy but not annoying when hearing their thoughts and feelings towards things, as well as having strong character development in Mrs T. She is an interesting and exciting character to read about who drove important conversations in the story and helped Summer traverse her world and the difficult scenarios she faced. She was the best sounding board a woman could have.
Overall, the book was an intriguing read. There were different elements of trauma, drug abuse and bad families. Peeling back the layers of Summers past and watching her gradually trust was a beautiful thing to see unfold and I would recommend to those wanting something fresh in a romance, especially with elements being inspired by the tragic past of the author. I loved it.

I was immediately hooked when I read the Author’s Note and found out More From You was inspired by the author’s life. Definitely make sure you read her personal note at the end of the story as well. When you first meet Ben and Summer they are from different worlds, Ben comes from money and Summer is a black-jack dealer just trying to get by. They stumble upon each other one fateful night and instantly connect. I loved the dual POVs and Spencer’s descriptive writing so much. This story perfectly captures hope, love, healing, and believing you deserve to be loved. This is a story that will stay with you long after you’re finished reading. Grab your copy out tomorrow!

Erin Spencer tells her own true story through the lives of Summer and Ben. Summer has never put down roots, going only where the job and money take her. Whilst working at a casino in southern Mississippi, she meets Ben, who saves her from an attack. They connect instantly. Ben comes from a wealthy family, yet he is independent, working as an artist. Despite all the opposition from family, their romance is passionate and intense.
Without revealing too much of this story, Ben and Summer’s romance will captivate you. However, it is Ben’s gentle way with Summer that will melt your heart, as will the intensity of this story. Definitely a book, that will bring tears.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There’s a quote said by Carrie Fisher that always stuck with me: “Take your broken heart, make it into art.”
Erin Spencer did that with this devastatingly beautiful story.
Before I get started, I do want to say that this isn’t a “romcom”. Yes it is a romance, but you will cry real tears because Spencer delivers a raw and emotional book here.
This is a fictionalized semi-autobiographical story that is based on Spencer’s real life. Having read (and loved) her co-authored super fun romcom, The Yes Factor (seriously, pick it up because it’s so much fun!) , I was really excited when it was announced she was releasing this solo book. I was fully warned beforehand that it was completely different in sense of tone and story. All I can really say is: wow, she really blew me away.
I read this via audiobook and honestly I can’t imagine reading it any other way. Hearing Ava Erickson and Zachary Webber tell this story was breathtaking. The emotions are laid bare and punch you in the feels. They make you light up with joy and fall over weeping. A MUST listen.
Summer and Ben are going to live in a special corner of my heart forever. This is a book that sticks with you in such a bittersweet and unforgettable way.
I honestly don’t have the words to express how desperately I need Erin Spencer to keep writing books like this. She writes books to get lost in, and this one was faultless.

I loved this book. Ben and Summer go through such a whirlwind of a romance. They are put through real life difficulties and differences and learning how to get through them.
The Love and joy and the all consuming heartbreaknwere written masterfully. The facts that the authornpulled from her own life made each emotion that much more heightened and felt.
What a debute!

Story and Narration;
5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This story can only be explained as bittersweet. It was like enjoying a piece of dark chocolate.
It was hauntingly beautiful and it has so much to do with the writing. I'm a big fan of Erin Spencer's work as a narrator, and now as an author as well. She was able to convey so much in her writing.
I loved this story, did it break my heart? Yes but it was worth it!

I could NOT put this book down. Erin Spencer has written a book that has gripped me. It's spun me through an emotional spectrum that has left me with uncertainty. Should I be sad? Happy? Sated? I was not expecting the ending. Beware, this is not the typical HEA. We'll not get that until the next book. At least I hope we will get the HEA that us hopeless romantics crave.
Erin Spencer's characters were inspiring. I absolutely loved Summer. She was so strong and courageous. I relish how she found love after struggling without it for so long. And Ben, he was complete perfection. A man who knew what he wanted and didn't allow anyone to get in his way. Add the enduring friendship of Mr. and Ms T., who we all need in our lives. As much as this was a heavy read, it's filled with joy, hope, and promise.
Before I got too far into the book, the descriptive writing jumped out at me. It's something I don't see much of in the books I've chosen to read. It was vivid and refreshing. I felt like I was there. So beautiful. This is an incredible first book. One I will not forget. Please write that next book, Ms Spencer.
Thank you NetGalley and the Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.
