A great guide book! Very informative and interesting to read; never having been to New Orleans before, I appreciated this peek into the history of the city. Broken down by different areas, with many hotels, restaurants + bars recommended, as well as proposed walks through the areas. Would recommend!

A really beautiful book to take to New Orleans. Concise, interesting and well written. Up to date and very helpful.

I adore travel books and thought this would be an amazing book, however, it does not work as an E-book and I do not think a lot of thought has gone into how this downloads as an E-book, unfortunately.

It was an incredibly detailed and helpful guide, much more informative than some of the other publishers' New Orleans guides. Information on things to do outside the city was also useful. Some more information on the history of the city would have been helpful. Overall though, I found the ebook version extremely difficult to read, both on my mobile and Kindle. It hadn't been optimised for Kindles at all, the formatting was all off, which meant you missed parts of the book because the text was cut off at the end of each digital page and the rest of it was on a completely different section of the following page. Some of the information for venues was not up-to-date. I found it a very useful guide but would not recommend the digital edition - get the paper version.

New Orleans is on my bucket list of places to see before I die. I read countless books about this mythological city and this book helped to visualize and understand the place.
This guide made me travel with my mind and I think it's a great guide to use when visiting this town.
Highly recommended.

An entertaining guide to what sounds like a fascinating city. All aspects of travel are covered, meaning it's an entertaining armchair read as well as a practical guide to take with you on your travels.

Definitely my favourite of the DK Eyewitness travel guides. We have been planning a mega-holiday to America, looking at San Fran, Vegas, Orlando and New Orleans so when three out of four travel guides popped up on netgalley I had to request them. For me this one is definitely the best - it's mammoth and full of not only useful but fascinating information about the area, the districts, random factors and where best to eat, drink and sight-see. Highly recommended and this will get a lot of use in the planning of the next holiday.
