A fun guide to the lesser-known aspects of the state capital of Texas. It's not somewhere I had really considered visiting but after reading this guide I would be intrigued to give it a whirl and experience its energy.
It was a detailed guide with a lot of information catering for all sorts of interests. The main tourist attractions weren't a huge focus. I wasn't interested in some of the sections so found myself skipping come chapters but if you are after a specific, niche thing in Austin, you will probably find what you need here. Overall, I found the ebook version extremely difficult to read, both on my mobile and Kindle. It hadn't been optimised for Kindles. The print version may have been easier to read.
An excellent guide that show me another way to visit a town and follow less known paths.
Lovely illustrations and easy to follow hints. I wish I could visit Austin soon.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Full of interesting little tidbits about a truly unique city. I would definitely purchase this before my next trip to Austin.
I received a free copy of, Austin Like a Local, by Nicolai Mccrary; Jessica Devenyns; Justine Harrington. from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. There is so much to see and do in Texas, so many great cities to investigate. Austin which is the capital city of Texas, looks like such a neat place to visit. Adventure awaits. This is a great travel guide for people who want to visit Austin.
