This is a lovely book to share with family. It features the following sections: space, earth, nature, people & culture, history, Science & technology. Under each section is an extensive array of facts to astound, entertain and educate. The graphics are both engaging and modern and compliment the content nicely. This is a book to be treasured.

My thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

Pretty decent data book for the junior library, that deposits factoids and trivia-seeming numerical facts on top of full-spread images, and adds in a few 'top tens' as well. So we get things as diverse as the tallest and shortest trees, data about human brain cells, and that essential for our lives, how many pet cats Russia has.

I mean, knowing how many different corals are on the Great Barrier Reef, how many tennis courts the Great Pyramid's footprint equates to, or how fast our toenails grow, won't gain anybody a qualification, but the impact of all these numerical superlatives should – if you're not turned off by all the digits (and the wonky Ls the font gives us) – make us marvel at the world around us, and perhaps think twice before gubbering it up even further than it is already.

Another fantastic book from DK. I am a complete stats nerd so a book like this is heaven for me. It is so interesting to learn so many facts from such a wide variety of topics. Perfect for learning a few fun facts to stick in your back pocket and pull out to impress people!

Once again DK smash it out of the park with regards to the visual aspect too, so vibrant and colourful, the different font sizes, small images and bolding really helps the pages to really pop out and catch the eye.

Ever wondered which country is wider than the moon? or which monarch reigned the longest (worldwide)? Or even how far beneath the surface of the ocean the wreck of the Titanic rests? This is the book for you! Filled with fascinating facts about history, science and nature this book is for any fan of numbers - young or old. I immediately bought my own copy for my classroom so I could share some fascinating facts with my class linked to our topics. The facts are well presented with different sized fonts to emphasise the numbers and arranged in a way that catches your eye surrounding photographs and diagrams. Split into chapters including space, nature and history, among others, it is easy to find a fact to amaze you.

Information overload! In the best possible way.

What a cool book for anyone interested in science, data, or numbers.
I found out a bunch of fun facts I never thought about or heard about (how cool is it that two countries accidentally brought the same flag to an Olympics? Why have I never heard that before? Had a bunch of fun reading this on a cosy afternoon and could only imagine how much I would have liked it as a child. A definite for any child who shows any interest in facts, science, nature, history, or maths!

This is a beautifully illustrated book that should appeal to any child (or adult) who is interested in maths, science, nature or just interested in absorbing facts.

The illustrations leap from the page, each of which is filled with a variety of numerical facts. There is something for everyone. As a child I would have spent hours pouring over the pages of this book.

The first section of the book focuses on space. I am sure that this section is a fantastic hook for young boys, however (and this is my only criticism of the book) I do wonder if the actual size of the numbers involved are too huge to grasp and a different starting point might have been better.
