Filled with suspense from page one. I was hooked and could not put this down. So intense. There were some epic twists in this story that I did not see coming. Great thriller.

Three women are attacked by Quarry Lake, 12 years ago. It was around the time Charlotte and twins Ryan and Mia arrived in town, returning later. Riona lives in town and sees links to the murders, including receiving strange photos. A stranger, Tom, may also be connected.
Great twists, characters and plot. It was hard to keep up with all the secrets revealed! Excellent!

Ryan, his mother charlotte and sister Mia moved to ensley to live with their mothers mom for a short time. Mia was very upset with Ryan for an incident that happened that made them move. Mia was a very troubled and disturbed young girl. She was always trying to make Ryan’s life miserable. Charlotte knew they was something wrong with her daughter and she blamed herself. Mia had done horrible things in ensley that caused their mother to think Ryan had done them.

Mia wanted revenge after she threatened to turn her twin brother over tho the police. She pushed her away from him and she fell into the lake. Mia’s family thought she had died that night. She was pulled out of the water by Mr. White and he heard everything Mia had said to her brother.

Wow!!! This book was amazing!! I really enjoyed every single page in this book. I was hooked from the very first page. I highly recommend this book if you haven’t read it yet

My first read by this author and it was an excellent psychological thriller. Set in Ensley, a quiet place where 12 years ago, three similar looking young women were viciously attacked leaving one dead, one in a coma and one alive. The ‘Ensley killer’ was never caught. Well written with an excellent and tense plotline, real edge of the seat stuff, and told from the POV’s of a number of the main protagonists.

Briefly, 12 years ago three young girls were in the woods when they saw heard something and although they investigated they found nothing. Today all three, Riona, Stella and Erika, are still living locally. Then Riona sees someone wearing a high visibility jacket staring at her. But when all three of them receive a note “I'm watching you” and then one of them goes missing she begins to wonder “Is the killer back?”

As the book continues the tension builds and builds with the reveal of long hidden secrets leading to a shocking climax for everyone involved. Great read.

Riona is spending her last summer in her home town of Ensley before heading to university. She can’t wait to leave for pastures new.
Nothing ever happens in pretty but boring Ensley. Until a young woman is viciously attacked down by Quarry Lake. Then another. And another. One of them survives, one of them is in a coma and one of them is dead.
Three young women with long, dark hair and everything to live for. The only thing anyone knows about the killer is that they wear a yellow high-vis jacket.
One night that summer, Riona and her two friends are larking about at the lake. They think they hear something. They see a candle flickering in the window of the old boathouse. But they dismiss it.
Twelve years later, all three are still living in Ensley. Even Riona who had expected to escape.
Everyone’s forgotten the Ensley Killer the killer who was never caught. But one day Riona glimpses a figure in a high-vis jacket. Staring intensely at her. Then a note is shoved through her letterbox: I’m watching you.
And one of her friends goes missing . . .
Could the Ensley Killer be back?
Absolutely enjoyed this book totally recommend

Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

👍🏻The story immediately pulls you in and gets you hooked.
👍🏻Short chapters, which I loved.
👍🏻I really liked the atmosphere set in this book.
👍🏻It was fast-paced and easy to read. The story flowed really well.
👍🏻Everything happening in the book had a purpose- there was no filler, it was all relevent to the story.
🤷🏻‍♀️ Riona is a bit dumb at times. Her behavior didn't really make sense a lot of the time and she didn't act as a logical person in her position would.
🤷🏻‍♀️ I thought some of the plot twists were good, but others I put together quite easily.
👍🏻Overall, this was a really well-written book and I recommend it.

Could the Ensley Killer be back?! I'm Watching You by Amanda Brittany was a fast-paced psychological thriller that I could simply not put down until I finished! I was up until the wee hours of the morning because I could not fall asleep until I knew the ending!

Riona is spending her last summer in her hometown of Ensley before heading to university. She can't wait to leave for pastures new. Nothing ever happens in pretty but boring Ensley. Until a young woman is viciously attacked down by the Quarry Lake. Then another. And another. One of them survives. One of them is in a coma - and one of them is dead. Three young women with long dark hair - and everything to live for. The only thing anyone knows about the killer is that they wear a yellow high-vis jacket.

This is a decent read with well-developed and interesting characters. There's twists and secrets to be revealed. There's a slight creepy feel to this book. It did take me a few chapters to get into this book. The story has a dual timeline - the past in 2009, and the present day 2021. In the two timelines we follow the same characters. This is a good psychological thriller.

Very twisty and turny thriller. Teenagers can be a real pain, how easy it is to ruin 'the whole of my life' by a single glance. One child often sees the other as favourite, which can work while both parents are around, but when one leaves the problems get bigger and bigger. At least the killer looked after the pets.

Loved it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I read a free advance review copy of the book. This review is voluntary, honest and my own opinion.

This book was great! Kept me on the edge of my seat. You’ll never guess who the villain is. I was shook.

Started well - 2009 three young women about to go off to college, couldn't wait to get out of their small town, having a last party near on old flooded quarry. Hear a noise, see a candle, investigate a bit and carry on drinking. Move forward to present day and all three are back in their small town. Creepy things start to happen, odd things appear on social media, people get hurt. Does this have anything to do with the past? Then it all got rather silly - frightening at times yes, but the responses of the women seemed odd to me - sometimes just too accepting and at other times just freaked out. Still an OK read, just not one that totally grabbed me. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review

Awesome read!
12 years ago the Ensley killer was wrecking havoc on the shores of Quarry Lake.
One night Riona, Erika and Stacey go swimming and drinking at the lake. They hear a splash and see a lit candle at the boathouse. They investigate but find nothing. 12 years later they all started being stalked and receive threatening messages. Could this be the Ensley killer?
Very suspenseful, read it one day.
Thanks NetGalley and Joffe Books for this ARC!

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope he writes more! I am totally hooked!

I have received an advance copy of this book via netgalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

The concept of this book is simple - twelve years previously a series of brutal murders occur in a quiet seaside town, despite the best efforts of the police the Ensley killer was never caught. Now twelve years later a group of woman are drawn back to the town and receive strange notes stating
"I am watching you"

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The plot is gripping and well written with enough twists and turns that it keeps the reader engrossed. The only slight gripe I had is that initially the multiple points of view and time jumps were confusing however as I got to know the characters this became less of an issue and the book was addictive enough that I read it in two days!

It's hard to discuss the characters without giving away major spoilers but the main two women are very different and the story looks at their connections with friends and relatives in the community and the dark secrets they may be hiding.

I highly recommend this book - it does exactly what it says on the cover and was a very enjoyable read.

Scary, fast-paced, suspenseful and nail-biting. That's how I would describe this book. It's I'm Watching You by Amanda Brittany which I received from Joffe Books via Netgalley.

We start in 2009 when three women are attacked separately, leaving one of them dead. Three friends, quite close, think they heard something but they dismissed it in the end
Fast forward to 2021 and we follow the same characters but now, lots has changed. Two of them work in the same building and with the third friend, they've cut contact. The story unfolds when events take place that brings the friends back together. Is the killer back? Is he targeting them now?

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. It was quite suspenseful with the stranger in a yellow high-vis jacket lurking around and stalking them. It is all written with a perfectly eerie feeling to it. I just had to continue because I needed to find the answers and see what had happened. The characters were great. Especially the ones described in such a way that you are in constant doubt of trustworthiness.

I would most definitely recommend this one!

5/5⭐

A great, easy read. Very enjoyable.

Lol so this one just wasn't really for me. I was really excited by the premise but it just frustrated me a bit. The characters are just not the brightest and they veer from being strangely not fussed to being far too dramatic lol. Plus when is there even that much high vis in anyones life?! I mean, it was fine but I kind of ended up just skimming through it whilst being more focused on thinking...... what?!
