Another great children's magical rescue vets book. I read this myself and read it with my 9 year old daughter

Rosie and Kat volunteer their free time at Calico Comfrey's vet surgery, a vet clinic specialising in magical creatures.

When Rosie and Kat find a baby yeti on a camping trip, they need to do everything they can to keep his existence - and the existence of magical creatures in Starfall Forest - secret. The arrival of a yeti-hunting author determined to prove their existence keeps the girls on their toes as they thwart her attempts to photograph the yetis. When threatened by an avalanche, they put their differences aside to keep the magical creatures safe.

This was a fun early chapter book for readers age 7-9. The illustrations were lovely, and my 7yo enjoyed the adventure through Starfall Forest

~Many thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review~

I absolutely LOVE this series. It's perfect for kiddos from 1st to 5th grade. I used this one with my 4th grade tutoring kiddo and she was delighted by it. There's a magical forest where magical creatures reside that is protected by forget me dos flowers. There's vets that take are of the animals in this forest.

Kat and Rosie plan a camping trip... and what can make any camping trip better? S'mores, of course. And Yetis. If you need a super cute novel about friendship and empathy, this is it!

So cute our favorite from the series. The illustrations are done so well and really bring the narrative to life. Our girls love this series but the cute Yeti stole their hearts. A great Middle Grade book, and this favorite from Magical Rescue Vets series.

Magical Rescue Vets: Snowball the Baby Yeti. By Melody Lockhart, Illustrator: Morgan Huff. 2022. Arcturus Publishing (ARC eBook).

Friends of Starfall Forest, Kat and Rosie, must protect the existence of the Calico Comfrey’s Veterinary Surgery and the forest’s more unusual inhabitants. Concerns arise and shenanigans ensue when Rosie’s father takes her and Kat camping in the forest and a writer determined to write about the presence of yetis cross their path. A cute story about being brave and having faith in others; and Huff’s illustrations of the friendly, inquisitive and hungry Snowball are adorable.

We’ve loved all the Magical Rescue Vet books we’ve read and this one is no exception. Snowball the Yeti is so cute. It was such a great story and message. I really enjoyed that their parents were able to go into Starfall Forest and see that what the girls have been telling them is actually true and not their imaginations. This is a great story to read before bedtime.

I want a baby Yeti super badly after reading this, even if it is a shy one. Snowball absolutely steals the show in this book, especially with his constant snacking. You can read this as part of the series or a stand alone but it is a charming story for lovers of magical creatures. I do love these and hope for many more in the series.

** “Scientists think we’ll find Bigfoot one day … but not yet-i.” **

Melody Lockhart takes readers on a magical journey in “Snowball the Baby Yeti,” an adorable story with equally adorable illustrations.

When author Desdemona “Deedee” Downspout threatens to write a book about a Yeti found in Starfall Forest, Rosie and Kat know they need to spring to the rescue to protect the magical creatures in their enchanted forest.

Will they be able to protect the young yeti, Snowball, they stumble across? And will they be able to convince Deedee to protect the sanctity of Starfall Forest, all while reintroducing their parents to the forest’s magic?

“Snowball the Baby Yeti” is a fun story that kids of all ages will love. It will definitely be a family favorite, allowing family members to read it together. And all the silly dad jokes will create giggles galore. The story, which is digitally due out on Nov. 15, also reminds us about the importance of kindness, compassion, loyalty and determination.

Five stars out of five.

This is a young Middle Grade book, and this book is part of the Magical Rescue Vets series. I have read and reviewed several of the other books in this series. I really enjoy this series. This book is a really cute story with some really fun characters. The little Yeti in this book is just so cute, and I loved his character so much. There are so many really cute drawings throughout this book that helps bring the story to life. I really love the message and the imagination in this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Honestly, I personally didn’t love this. I don’t think that it’s terrible, exactly, but rather that there are so many other books out there with similar themes that are far better. The bigger story surrounding the smaller story of the yeti was pretty cool, but doesn’t take away from how the general shenanigans were kind of just cringy to read.

All of this said, I do think a large number of kids will have a blast reading this book and the series it comes with. It would be the first of this sort that I’d recommend to a reader, especially knowing that the language in it isn’t really matching the levels I’d want it to for the age this book makes me think of. But, if I knew a kid who’d read all the others I could think of and really likes magical creatures and veterinarian centered books, then sure, I could see myself recommending it to them.

OH MY GOODNESS...SNOWBALL IS TOOO CUTE! The illustrations alone make you want to cuddle with him. I love that this series is all about your imagination and protecting these magical creatures. It's another adorable story that my children loved.
This book is a great additional to the series and I highly recommend it.

Thank you to Melody Lockhart, Morgan Huff, Arcturus Publishing, and Netgalley for this ARC!

I'm not sure why this is tagged as being a graphic novel when it's not. Despite not reading it, I'm giving it 3 stars because I still think the synopsis was cute.

Magical rescue vets

Bugbears are magical creatures
Kat and rosies help out at the magical vet's office. Dr Clairce is a vet and an inventor. With Rosie's mom going away it's up to dad to take the girls camping.
This book is a humorous, engaging novel that piques the imagination and may be read alone. Rosie and Kat are aware of something that other people are not. Magical beings do exist. Not only that, but occasionally, the ones' creatures desire to help just like any other animal or puppy. They are Magical Vets for Rescue!

Rosie and Kat are having a camping adventure. Although a creator has arrived in Starfall Forest and wants to reveal Yeti lifestyle to the entire world, a sweet-loving yeti makes his appearance. The Rescue Vets must provide you with a strategy to keep Yeti's identity a secret in order to keep him safe and secure. However, things don't go as planned when Yeti finds himself in some trouble.

I really did enjoy this new addition to the Magical Rescue Vets series, and like the others I found it be more entertaining when read aloud.

While I do enjoy these books, I do not feel as if they stand out more than others like them. But overall I would recommend it for early chapter book readers.

It is a god thing I wasn't trying to read this book out loud because it made me all verklempt,

I love how everyone comes together to save the forest animals after the avalanche and I loved the reactions the parents had when they were shown the forest.

A fun, read-aloud story that encourages the use of ones imagination.

I was immediately attracted to Magical Rescue Vets Snowball the baby yeti because I have a child who loves animals and anything magical. We read this book together and my daughter loved all the creativity. She had fun imagining all the creatures and fell for the sweet and curious baby yeti, Snowball. We jumped in a few books into the series but she had no problem learning all the characters. As an adult, I had trouble keeping track of everything but with her magical imagination, everything made sense. Every time she forgets something now, she says “ooh, those forget-me-dos are at it again.” Definitely a cute enchanting story!

Despite being part of a series, this book reads as a standalone adventure and is a fun, engaging tale that sparks the imagination. Kat and Rosie know something most people don't. Magical creatures exist. Not only that, those creatures need help sometimes just like any other animal or pet. They are Magical Rescue Vets!

Rosie and Kat are out camping trip. A candy loving yeti makes his appearance but there is an author who has come to Starfall Forest and wants to expose Yeti's existence to the whole world. The Rescue Vets need to come up with a plan to keep Yeti a secret to keep him safe and protected. But things don't go as planned when Yeti gets himself into a bit of trouble.

A great lesson on helping others, especially those who cannot help themselves, keeping secrets and doing the right thing. There is an underlying tone of standing up to bullies too. There is a problem to be solved that will keep kids wanting to read to the end. There are great illustrations along the way, bridging young reader picture books with first chapter books.

A sure fire hit at grandma's house! The characters are such vivid creatures that you wish they were real. They are fun and exciting. Good story plot. A fun series for young and old alike. Settle in for a good time! Thanks # herbalist and#ArcturusPublishing for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are.

This is, quite simply, just okay. Nothing about it seems particularly special. I think the topic will appeal to a good range of readers, but I'm not sure it stands up against some others that cover these same themes.

In this installment of the series, Kat and Rosie help baby yetis who are lost.

Just like the previous one, I think this would be a great read aloud story. The writing can be clunky but the creativity is there.
