First of all I would like to thank netgalley and the publishing house for allowing me to discover this book.
Here we discover a cute little childhood story. I’ll tell you, I read it to my kids, and at the same time I think that was the point.
We discover a little princess in her daily life, we will live with her one day.
She shares her joys, desires and questions.
Moments with her dad, but also with the rest of her family.
It was a pleasant read
This is an enjoyable book with vibrant, inviting illustrations. I loved the meaning behind the story/how the story came to be written. This would be a great book to read with your child, grandchild, or student. It's a good option for beginning readers, too.
I thought that this was an enjoyable book and it had some lovely illustrations
The story was easy to follow and it was really nicely written
The book had a lovely flow to it and the characters were wonderful too
It is four stars from me for this one – highly recommended!
To begin with the images are so bright and lively, I absolutely love them. Then story is adorable and relatable. I loved going 🎣 with my dad when I was little. I enjoyed all the details like what's for supper and what Anyah is wearing.
The only thing that confused me was why she took a bath before going fishing, then I saw her closet and realized she can afford another bubble bath after.
My favorite things about this book are the colorful illustrations and why the author wrote it -- because her niece only saw princesses who were white and with long hair. So the author created a book where the princess had the same skin tone as her niece, and had short hair to boot! So important and powerful to see yourself in children's books and books of all ages!
