I enjoyed the story. Finding out the relationship between the three couples that go away for a luxurious cabin for a weekend in a secluded area. It was never going to end well.
Lots of intriguing storlylines for each of the couples and the individuals and how it all finally links together.

Thank you to Legend Press, Lisa Unger and Netgalley for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six by Lisa Unger has it all. Suspense, love, family loyalty, betrayal, nature vs nurture. The triple timeline had me struggling for a little bit because of the multiple characters. Once I really started paying attention to the year and the chapter character, it all flowed together smoother.

DNA testing and looking into your family history doesn’t always turn out the way you expect it to. While, I’m sure, most people are excited to delve further into their family history than what they know. There has to be the few that get thrown for a loop and realize that there are some surprises in there. That’s just a smidgen of what happens in Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six. But it’s the thread that puts everything together.

I found this a slow burner. It was a bit confusing to understand where the connection between Henry 's and Hannah's story would be, but the more I got in to the story with all its twists & turns the harder it came to put the book down. The DNA links were intriguing & the suspense at The end was well worth it. I would say that you have to stick with reading this whole book.

This book was hard to rate. It was all over the place, but then came together in the end. Unfortunately, it was too much for me.

Three couples stay in a rented luxury cabin in the woods, complete with a personal chef and an all-too-present proprietor. Secluded and off the beaten path, will a storm and a set of suspicious circumstances bring danger to the woods?

I liked the premise of the book, but not the plot or the characters. The different perspectives did not match up with each other until too late in the book to make the novel seem cohesive. The ending overall seemed to come out of nowhere and was contrary to the plot as a whole. To other readers, I would recommend one of the author's other books than Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six.

Disclaimer: I was given an Advanced Reader's Copy by NetGalley and the publisher. The decision to read and review this novel was entirely my own.

Unfortunately this book was just not for me. I really tried getting into it but the characters were not intriguing at all. I didn’t find myself looking forward to reading this book which is never a good sign. The multiple POV was too much for me. I got way too lost and couldn’t even finish the book.

The setting of the secluded cabin in the woods I did enjoy.

Thank you NetGalley and Legend Press for the digital ARC of “Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six”.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- Eye catching cover on this book

Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six by Lisa Unger is a thrilling locked-room mystery that follows three couples who rent a luxury cabin for a weekend getaway. What is supposed to be a relaxing weekend turns into a nightmare as a deadly storm approaches, the rental host behaves strangely, and secrets from their past come back to haunt them.

Despite the convoluted (at times) plot and too many points of view that seem unnecessary, I found this book to be highly entertaining. From the start, it had me hooked into the story. The DNA angle was cleverly done and the characters were well developed and intriguing. Additionally, the fast-paced writing style made it an enjoyable read overall.

Overall, Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six is an engrossing thriller that will keep you on edge until the very end. While it has its hiccups, the book is well written and definitely worth reading if you enjoy mysteries with plenty of twists and turns.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Legends Press for the ARC of this book.

Not one of Lisa United's greatest by far. Actually the plot was all over the place and characters seemed one dimensional to me.

I can't in good conscious recommend this book.

While I’ve enjoyed a lot of this authors backlist this one just wasn’t as good or didn’t grab me. I kind of just skim finished it. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this copy for review

A mixture of chick flick and mystery, the story was slow and drawn out, The setting had a creepy setting and I enjoyed the plot but the characters could have been more in depth as I felt they were all very one dimensional.

This one was not for me it was all over the place and over the top but so confusing and forgettable. This book follows three couples as they have a nature retreat / getaway but then people go missing the power goes out and chaos ensues. While this book is full of twist and turns I could not stay interested. I’m this book there are so many characters and POVs that I often kept confusing the characters especially since they were all very similar personality wise and felt a bit flat for me. Also the story was a little to put there for me it was definitely unique but not my cup of tea. I will say though at the beginning I was enjoying the story before things went crazy so I may pick up more from this author in the future. I would like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for a chance to read this book for an honest review.

This would be a great holiday read but not if you’re in a secluded lakeside cabin.
Three couples go for a luxury weekend but all seem to have secrets and conflicts. Add a storm and uninvited guests and you have a good thriller. You also have chapters telling you the story of a young boy through to adulthood who fits somewhere but you’re not sure where. A few more twists and it was an entertaining read.

I had been waiting ages to read this book & was so happy to get accepted for an ARC. Took me a little while to get into as I kept forgetting who was who, but it was a fantastic, gripping story.

I had a hard time getting through this. I couldn’t get into the characters or plot and ended up not finishing it.

(Actual: 3.25⭐) I thought this book was a real quick read, perfect for when you're on holiday! The plot is simple enough and nothing particularly ground-breaking with its "locked/enclosed space" setting, but I still found it to be thoroughly engaging despite it's simplicity. There were some parts that dragged for me; I feel like the pacing could have been better because, while the end was enough for me to tack on that extra 0.25-star rating, overall I think things could've been tighter story-wise.

Lisa Unger is a master at the craft. This novel delivers all the nailbiting and angsty reading we've grown to love.

This one was ok. I found it a bit unbelievable, which is unfortunate because I really love this author! Oh well, I'm sure the next one will be amazing!

This thriller is a must read. Different POVs secluded in a creepy cabin in the woods, during a storm where no where to go? Yes please! Once you start, you will want to finish it, the pace was on a different level and when it all tied up, it didn't disappoint.

3 couples decide to take a much needed vacation together. A luxurious cabin out in the middle of nowhere. A place that is very secluded. Where cell reception is spotty and the WiFi is wonky. And where a hurricane is gonna hit close to where they’re staying. Sounds great right? What could possibly go wrong? Lots! Especially when their past is about to come and bite them in the butts and threaten to destroy everything they’ve worked for. Everything they know to be true.

How have I not read anything by Lisa Unger before?? This had me captivated! It felt a little like Mary Higgins Clark with the multiple POVs and then with bringing them all together at the end. Sometimes I wondered how everyone connected to each other. The author does a great job with keeping you guessing and then tying it up at the end. I thought it was cool how the author used a real life story of people finding out who their biological family is through genetic testing and put her own spin on it. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future!
