I just finished up 'We Blend' by Willa Drew, and it's a refreshing take on the romance genre!

First, let's talk about the characters. They're so unique and well-developed that you can't help but feel like you're right there with them on their journey. And the chemistry between the leads? Electric! Drew knows how to write a love story that'll swoon you from start to finish.

Now, let's discuss the setting. Drew vividly describes the coffee shop where much of the story occurs. You'll feel like you're sipping lattes alongside the characters, soaking in the cozy atmosphere.

But what sets this book apart is its focus on self-discovery and personal growth. Drew is fearless in the deeper aspects of love and relationships, making this more than just your typical romance novel.

Speaking of romance, get ready for some profound feelings. From heartwarming moments to steamy encounters, Drew knows how to tug at your heartstrings in all the right ways.

Now, fair warning: this book isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Some moments of heartache and conflict will have you reaching for the tissues. That's what makes the happily ever after so satisfying and suitable.

Overall, 'We Blend' is a charming, feel-good read that'll leave you with a smile and warmth. So grab a cup of your favourite brew, cozy up with a blanket, and fall in love with this delightful tale!

This was such an interesting book! I really enjoyed this but felt like I was a bit lost at times. I feel like it could maybe use another round of editing but this was still a fun time nonetheless

Melodie has dreams of becoming a singer. Her parents are famous singers and she wants to find her own way in the business. One night she decides to try her hand as a singer and she does this a secret persona. She meets Will who is on a different mission. He tells her that he will keep her secret and their musical journey begins. A sweet story with an entertaining plot. The characters are great and it’s wonderful coming to age story.

WE blend was a cute fun read. It was a slow burn for both the romance and plot. the concept is cute but it seems like it will mostly be picking up pace-wise in the second book. The pacing is rough and I struggled to get over the strange relationship dynamic of having the same father.
Despite its flaws, it was still really cute and for as slow as the plot moved there was still always something happening.
Thanks to the author and publisher for providing a free ARC copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a story about a younger couple than I usually read about. It also does not feel complete without the next in the series. I did not know that this was to have more parts when I began it, and that has affected my rating a little bit.
El is famous, not for her own skills but for being the step-daughter of a rock star and the daughter of musical artists who toured the world. There are secret hurts buried there which come out over the course of the book. The not-so-secret issue is the lack of privacy and the fact that neither parent wants El to get into the industry in any capacity. El, however, dreams of doing just that. She sings and writes her own music secretly until she makes money to launch herself independently. It is in this effort that 'WE' is born. W being Will whose issues are a whole other ball game.
Our male protagonist is a foreigner on a scholarship for a few months to make a short film in town. He also wants to contact his father for money which he desperately needs. There are no secrets on his part from the reader since he reveals all his plans and thoughts quite openly early on.
It is easy to sympathize with the two, as well as the other people who help them. I just wish this was a complete story with some kind of resolution since a lot was left unsaid by the time the book closed.
I found the writing easy to read and just right emotionally to convey the focus of the narrative. I would recommend this to readers who like reading this genre.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Enjoyed the secret identity and music aspect. It was cute but very long considering the lack of info we get about Wil.

Not for me unfortunately. I struggled to get into it and therefore never finished it so unable to review properly

El is trying to escape the shadow of her famous rock star stepfather and she finds herself at a bar in disguise. She meets Wil there and the two have an instant connection. They start singing together and fall for each other.
This was a sweet rock star love story. It does end with a cliffhanger though, so be warned. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

I absolutely love a good friends to lovers book and this just scratched the spot. Reading Wil and El friendship will forever be unmatched, I immensely enjoyed reading these characters growth through out this book and can’t wait to read more about them in the next book.

I liked this book, thought it was super cute. I liked it. There was never the dramatic and traumatic middle section where you’re unsure if people are going to make it to what they are, hoping for. However, even for a young adult romance book, it felt lacking in depth of character development. I know a bunch of middle school and high school kids will love reading this book, but as an adult reading it? I felt like I wanted to know more than surface level about Wil in particular.

An okay fun romance novel that was a quick read. My only complaint if you can call it that, was the cliffhanger at the end so be warned.

It is a fun contemporary romance with some drama, and lots of chemistry, There is a slightly forbidden element running through this. I'm always disappointed in cliffhangers or relying on author newsletters to get a complate ending

When Wil comes to the U.S., it's to try to track down his famous rock-star father who doesn't know he exists. Instead, he meets Melodie ("El"), his father's step-daughter. Though he's looking for his dad to ask for money for medical treatment his mom needs, El quickly becomes a distraction as he gets to know her. For El? Wil is the guy who helps her through her first anonymous on-stage performance, wig and all. Entitled as he may be, she develops a soft spot for him as they share the stage together, and ultimately, so much more.

This book was adorable. It's a very slow burn and minimal spice -- but the characters are cute and believable. The development of them as individuals and as a couple is done perfectly. I loved the touch of "famous rock star vibes" and the blurring of enemies/friends (which are they really at first?) to lovers trope. There were a few instances of overused words/phrases that were sometimes distracting, and there were a few spots of dialogue that didn't always ring as being completely realistic -- but overall, this was a fun, enjoyable read that I'd recommend to friends. You'll fall in love with Wil and El as they fall in love with one another!

pensation for reading and reviewing.

Cute, fun and well paced read.

I enjoyed this read and it was relatively quick for me. I'm not normally one to enjoy a split POV but this one allowed for a lot more respect on both sets of characters and I enjoyed how I really got to know each one. Would recommend.
