I've really loved reading this book. It has so much information included in it, but it's all presented in a way that doesn't overload you. You can read it in small sections and take it all in, with the added benefit of beautiful illustrations. I loved the little activities in it and the journal-like pages, its already made it onto my to-buy list because I cant wait to refer back to it as and when over the years.
I’ve always felt more connected to the moon than the sun so this book was right up my alley. Packed full of really interesting information. And the illustrations are stunning.
A good beginner moon book for newer witches with good bits for all levels. Def adding some into my practice. The are is great, the book is well organized, and (if I had it was a physical book) it would be a really good work book
I love all things 'the moon' and have read a lot of books on this topic, so I thought I had seen it all.
There were some really unique bits in this book that I enjoyed - particularly the look at the moon and sun signs together and what that would mean.
One thing that stood out to me though was some of the terminology was slightly different to what I knew - and I think this could be the US vs UK wording - although not overly sure.
Overall I did enjoy this book and there are tons of info in there.
The Complete Guide to Living by the Moon is a holistic guide to harnessing the energies of the moon throughout the 29.5 day cycle. It covers all aspects including the phases from the waxing and waning of the Full Moon to a new moon and how they relate to you personally in terms of things such as setting and reaching goals, tackling problems and so much more. The author highlights the importance of understanding the dynamics of the lunar cycle and the eight phases it includes, and provides a mapping guide to aid understanding. It is a very interesting book and a great starting point for anyone wanting to harness the energies of the moon for their own personal development.

Stephanie Gailing begins by discussing moon mapping, inwhich she states that we must first look at the dynamics of the lunar cycle. Because every 29.5 days, the Moon completes a full cycle (known as a synodic month), moving
from one New Moon to the next, during which it evolves from appearing devoid of the Sun’s light to being fully ensconced by it, and then back again to being veiled in darkness.
She states that the two weeks in which the moon light increases as it moves from New to Full Moon—is known as the waxing period. The two weeks in which its light recedes as it moves from Full to New Moon is called the waning period.
She states that each lunar cycle features eight phases. The four that are considered primary are those you see noted in calendars and almanacs: these are the New, First Quarter, Full, and Last Quarter Moons. Then there are the intermediate phases, the ones that occur between those. These are the Crescent, Gibbous, Disseminating, and Balsamic Moons.
The author provides a moon mapping guide for the eight lunar phases of the moon, and the qualities of each phase. She discusses each phase in detail, and provides some self-care activities and provides some qualities for each zodiac sign.
I really enjoyed reading about the qualities, and when the sun or moon is in each house. Very good reference book for beginners embarking on learning astrology. Highly recommend.
