Love, love, love the start of this new book in the Mrs Bird series! Having revelled in Dear Mrs Bird and Yours Cheerfully, I cannot wait to read this new book to find out what happens next. The author's writing is so warm and engaging, the characters spring into life on the page. You feel like they could become friends. The depth of research underpinning the writing is clear in the descriptions of everyday life on the home front and really adds to the overall story. This looks like another winner! Cannot wait to read more!
