The story is told from a dual timeline and from multiple perspectives. I was gripped by this storyline. I loved all the twists and turns. The characters are all unlikeable.

A dream few days away in an idyllic, luxury villa in Italy for Liz and her very best friends plus partners with all expenses paid. What could possibly go wrong! Actually plenty of things….. Everything was wonderful until the friction began. Secrets and lies but who was telling the truth? A very easy book to get into and immerse yourself in. There was lots of repetition though and if you didn’t know that Owen was Andrew’s best friend, by the end, then what were you doing! It was mentioned so many times. More repetition as the characters went over and over the same things. It was also predictable too which spoilt it. I wouldn’t like to call any of this motley crew my friend because none of them could be trusted and all were self centred. They behaved more like teenagers than people in their 40’s. To be honest I much preferred Friend Request. This novel would pass the time nicely on a plane journey.

Absolutely loved this book - it is was really good from beginning to end.

Liz and her husband Andrew have travelled to the Amalfi coast to spend a few days with their oldest friends; Poppy, Trina and Julian and Saffie and her new partner Todd. It is Todd’s fiftieth birthday and he has hired a very the villa to celebrate.

All does not go according to plan, there are lots of niggles and disagreements and by the end of that weekend Andrew is missing, presumed drowned.

A few months later, on the day of Andrew's funeral, Liz makes a discovery in her husbands belongings he had during their time away which leads her to question everything about her husband and her friends.

Following the funeral she seeks to uncover what really happened in the lead up to her husband going missing and whether one of her friends knows more than they are letting on.

A fast paced book with plenty of twists and turns. Highly recommend.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

What was a slightly slow start for me, soon lead to some explosive twists and a brilliant finale! I quite liked the fact that the characters were unlikeable, it fits well with the plot. The setting was brilliant.
A great read

This was a gentle, enjoyable read and some moments where you really saw how talented a writer Laura Marshall is. But for me, sadly, I guessed who did it as soon as they appeared on the page. It was remarkably similar to the writer's debut and that dampened the reading experience for me.

Great book, so many twists to it that it had me hooked from the start.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

My thanks to NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group Uk for a copy of “ My Husbands Killer” for an honest review.
I’ve loved Laura Marshall’s previous books and this one was definitely not a disappointment !
I sometimes struggle when there are several different names in the mix, which you obviously need to make a good whodunnit, but the characters were so well written that this wasn’t a problem.
This was a real page turner that kept me guessing , literally, right to the end.
Gripping and believable, I’d definitely recommend you add this to your reading list !

Very enjoyable mysterious page turner.
There is very little we can say without any spoilers here but its a very well set up murder mystery with a very large cast of characters that are intriguing, though could get confusing at times.

You have to really feel for Liz...she is sifting through her life trying to figure out who she can trust whilst grieving. Liz is a very well drawn character and I really felt for her.

The mystery itself was very well written and unravels at a nice pace.

The last chapter was not needed though and was very disappointed...the final twist distracted from the mystery and was just one thing too far, rather than adding to it.

Overall, this would be a very good beach read and definitely would recommend.

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A great physcological thriller with non stop twists and turns. You will suspect every single person while reading but only one is the culprit. I loved it!

I have only read one other book by this author, so was excited to read this one. I really liked the storyline. It was easy to follow, even though there was a number of main characters. The plot kept me interested and the ending was jaw dropping. I definitely did not expect the last few paragraphs. Highly recommend this, if you like a thriller with a twist ending.

Well this was quite different to what I thought it would be, and definitely didn’t see the end coming.

It kind of gave me The Holiday by TM Logan vibes and I imagined the villa in my mind to be a lot like the villa in tv adaption of The Holiday. I think if you’ve enjoyed Lucy Clarke’s thrillers you’ll enjoy this one.
