This was an enjoyable read that flowed well and I was eager to keep reading. New to me author but one I would definitely read again.

A really enjoyable story and something different from what you normally get in the Heroes series from M&B (I wish they had stuck with calling the line intrigue and suspense as it's definitely a better description and sells this series more to me, but I do get why they re-branded it Heroes). This book has so much going for it, not least the fact there is a timescale involved in the need for Marena to assist with saving Colt's life which really helped pace the story and kept me engaged throughout. In a way it reminded me of watching '24' where things had to happen in real time in order for the plot to work. The characters were likeable and their relationship history helps the reader understand how they have ended up as they are in the present time, Yes, it's first and foremost a romance book with a happy ending almost guaranteed, but there was mystery, intrigue and tension throughout as you wait to see how things play out, and I really enjoyed how the plot was written not just from Colt and Marena's points of view, but also, their friends and families, and also the villains of the story. There was depth to the plot, and it was really engaging in that it kept me wanting to know what would happen next as there were points when you had to wonder just how things would work out in the end. I've never read Lisa Dodson before, but I hope she has a back catalogue or plans for future books as I really loved this one and would definitely read more.

I haven't read any of the Hero books from Mills and Boon before but this was a great one to start with. IT had all you would expect from a Mills and Boon with romance and tension but then add in the adventure and thrill and you get an all new type of story - very much recomended.

This was such a good book. A great idea, and the author never gave you a chance to relax, it was just full speed ahead. Looking forward to more books from this author

This book has it all a really good storyline mixing romance, second chances with suspense and danger. Well written to keep the reader involved..

This is a book in The Mills and Boon Heroes Series and it is Colt and Marena's story. Colt and Marena have history as they were in love and engaged only for everything to fall apart when Colt breaks off there engagement leaving Marena devastated, heartbroken and not understanding why. When Colt and his team are on a mission he gets injected with a lethal biotoxin that gives him only six days to live and his only chance of surviving is his ex fiance Marena who is a biochemist but will she help him after everything that happened between them. When Colt arrives on Marena's doorstep asking for help she knew that she would definitely do everything possible to to give him the best chance of survival even with there past. I absolutely loved this book with all of twists and turns along with danger, suspense, great characters, and a storyline that pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and it was a real page turner that I couldn't put down as I wanted to see what would happen next and also what the outcome would be for them all. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed reading it so much and look forward to reading more book's in the future.

I love when genres mix and the Heroes Collection is one of my favourite genre mash. Fast paced, thrilling race against time for Marena to find the antidote and save Coulters life. Reunited after he broke her heart they get a second chance at love when sparks fly when they meet again. I loved Coulter even with a lethal toxin in him he was still able to give Marena a grand entrance like he used to. Its one of those reads that you just can't put down and I loved it.

Dr Marena Dash was devastated when Colt broke off their engagement and it has taken her a long time to try and put her heart back together. When Colt arrives unannounced on her doorstep, she knows she will do all she can to produce an antidote. However, there are others who would do anything to make sure that times runs out for Colt.
This as a fast paced read that kept me turning the pages. I loved the plot and the characters. I really enjoyed that Marena has friends who look out for her, especially Bert, who was such a great character. There is not only a romance and espionage in the book, it is also the story of two families healing and coming to terms with things that have happened in the past.

Strong and fast paced,. Some excellent scenes with tension, emotion and believable violence, a great romance bubbling along and supporting the plot. The switching between Colt and Morena and those plotting their downfall works really well. Such a good read.
