a beautiful and poignant children's book that focuses on the topic of looking after our planet. stunning illustrations that will allow children the opportunity to be curious and ask questions on what they can do in order to help our planet thrive. wonderful!
A beautiful book which highlights the damage humans have done to our world in a child-friendly way.
I’m always on the look out for books I can use in class which will help my students understand current issues and also what they can do to help, and this definitely fit the bill. I’ll be purchasing a copy for my classroom.
I really like the message in this book. It is colourful and engaging for small children highlighting the environmental issues the planet is currently facing. I liked most of the illustrations especially the ones of the environment.
I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
If I Were the World is a beautiful rhyming book for children raising awareness about what we are doing to our planet. I loved how the book asks the child how they would feel if they were the planet and touches on things we can do to try to heal the damage we humans are doing to it. The book raises awareness and would be a great book for any educational or personal bookcase. This book is a more personal read than any I've read about environmentalism before and really makes you stop and think - after all the planet is a living thing! This would be a great book for science in school and for discussions with groups of children. I urge all teachers and parents/carers to read this with their little one ASAP.
This is such a great book to raise awareness about environmentalism, recycling, and biodiversity. It really gets you thinking about the planet from a personal view of 'If I were the World'. The pictures would be a great conversation starter for children as well and could definitely be used in schools!
A beautiful yet heartbreaking book about the damage humans have done to the world. Beautiful illustrations and prose highlight the problems and drive home the message of making a change
Will definitely be using this book in the classroom and recommending. Have already pre-ordered.
Beautiful illustrations, alongside a wonderful story for children.
A great way to get young ones thinking about the planet and how we should be taking care of it.
Overall a really lovely climate picture book.
A great picture book to introduce chikdren to environmental issues including climate change, plastic pollution and deforestation as well as giving ideas how we can make a positive impact and change. The rhyme will appeal to all and it is simple that the message can be understood by the very young but can also be used as a springboard to tackling environmental issues.

Really great picture alongside very simple voucblaury. My son has really enjoyed reading this book and enjoyed describing the pictures in the boom go me. He loved the waves pictures the most as it reminded him of the ocean. He started to think about what it would be like if he was the world and how it would be as well. A great book to get children to think about thier environment.
I thought that this was an enjoyable book and the illustrations are just beautiful.
The story was easy to follow and it was a great way for me to talk about the environment with my daughter and what else we could do - we already recycle and her school did a litter pick so we are going to volunteer for that next time to start to do a little bit more where we can.
The book has plenty that can be talked about and some great learnings - it would be great to be discussed at school.
The illustrations are lovely and really made us smile
It is four stars from me for this one – highly recommended!
