Having read this with my girls we loved the story and how the friendship between the dogs is. Bright and colourful illustrations are engaging and with any childrens book short chapters help with both the attention span of young readers as well as parents who are helping/reading along.
We will most definitely get the hardcopy and re-read it..

This is a light, fun series for younger readers, with bright illustrations and entertaining doggy characters. The simple plot flows nicely, with the key characters facing both unexpected issues as well as their own personal dilemmas, both of which are neatly resolved. I thought it worked well, it was enjoyable and I liked how all the dogs interacted. I can definitely see this issuing well, the first book was certainly popular in my libraries.

My daughter and I read this together and she really adored it! She loves the characters in this series and is enchanted by the friendship between the dogs. We found this book laugh out loud funny and enjoyed seeing the dogs work together, and face their fears, to keep the farm running! The bright full colour illustrations are really engaging and the short chapters with chunks of text are brilliant for my emergent reader (she's 7). We will re-read this book several times and are keen to see what the dogs of Puddle get up to next!
