The Widow is a fast paced gripping mystery. A husband is dead. The wife is left - is she inconsolable or releaved?

They both had secrets and the marriage itself is built on lies. It is like a string of yarn, as a strand is pulled it gets longer and longer.

Slow Drip Reveal..
A perfect marriage and a perfect life. Is there such a thing? For appearances can be deceiving and they can also be deadly. Allison seems to have it all and when her well off husband is found dead she is naturally devastated. Isn’t she? As the truth of her husbands death and in turn his life is discovered, Allison needs to keep her own secrets close as well as the truth of her own past. One thing is certain, secrets will out. Immersive psychological suspense with a well crafted cast, a slow drip reveal and a tense undercurrent running throughout the edgy narrative.

I absolutely love this authors books and know that when I have one of her books to read nothing else will get done as I won’t be able to put it down. This book was perfect to read whilst recovering from illness as had me completely hooked from the very first page and Immersed in the story. I read this in one sitting as couldn’t put it down and still thinking about it even now. This book is hard to review as I don’t want to give any spoilers away.

This was a rollercoaster of a read and a domestic thriller that had me gripping the edge of my seat as it took me through the journey of twists and turns shocks and surprises and revelations that make you question do you really know who anyone really is? can we trust our friends and partners to be who they say they are and take people at face value.

This was a unique story with a brilliant and engaging plot and fantastic characters that with the authors writing enabled you to visualise them and their actions jumped off the page as the story unfolded.

This would make an excellent tv drama adaptation. I am already eagerly anticipating this authors next book

A real thriller!
Devious characters, plenty of guess work needed and just when you think you know where the story is going.....bang here comes another shock!
I read this in a couple of sittings.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
A fantastic read worthy of 5 stars plus.

I wasn’t intending to do more than read a couple of chapters of The Widow but Keogh sucked me in with her compelling story and complex characters. I can’t say I particularly liked Allison, until I appreciated some of her motives. Keogh has a knack of twisting the narrative so the reader doesn’t know what to think, who to trust or where their reader loyalties should lie. All brilliant stuff.
