Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
This book starts as comically as we're used to with this witty author piling on events at a pace. As usual there are several crimes being investigated, making the action non-stop for this lovely team of characters. Agatha is as concerned as ever with how she looks, keeping up appearances, and her love life is as important to her as the cases she's investigating. This quick read is engaging and filled with descriptions of the lovely Cotswold setting, a lovely summertime read.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for a review.

I hadn't read any Agatha Raisin books up until now, although I have read Hamish Macbeth books and enjoyed those. I really enjoyed this book. A nice easy read full of intrigue in what seems like a very quiet little place......

Always a delight to read an Agatha Raisin even if they are no longer written by MC Beaton. This author does a good job of capturing the original spirit of Agatha. This book is full of all the old favourites resulting in a good mystery with a bit of humour along the way.

I'm a huge fan of the Agatha Raisin series and am thrilled that the books have been carrying on after the sad passing of M.C Beaton. This installment certainly does her proud and is one of my favourites for a long time. Agatha is up to her usual exploits and puts herself in a dangerous position once again to solve a new mystery. I had to laugh at the end, will Agatha and James finally compromise and be together?! (No, I doubt it either!). Every book is a joy, my favourite escapism.

As a huge fan of the indomitable Agatha Raisin I was delighted that after the sad death of its author that the series would continue in the same style written by RW Green.

In this book we see Agatha and her detective team solve the murder of a man found by a naturist group, which Agatha and Toni join to investigate and multiple other cases, involving drugs in a girls school and the disappearance of a secretary at an ice cream factory.

All great stories and with the added bonus of Agatha and her hilarious exploits in finding the perfect man this was up there with the MC Beaton classic Agatha stories.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The latest in a long running Agatha Raisin series does not disappoint. Agatha gets into many escapades while investigating her latest murder and even ends up trying naturism. The story goes along at a great dizzy pace with Agatha ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time. You will be glad you picked up this book and will come away with a smile on your face at Agatha being so human! Will she end up with any of her admirers!
Thank you NetGalley and (publisher, Little Brown Book Group UK) for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I am a huge fan of Agatha Raisin and this book is a good as the previous installments.

Agatha is embroiled in murder involving a nudist group which leads Agatha into hilarious situations. Agatha and her team have various investigations on the go which are all equally entertaining and interesting.

This book had me laughing out loud and kept me absolutely hooked to the very last page. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this amazing series.

The name of the current author of these books should be much larger on the front cover. At a quick glance it is not clear that these are no longer stories by MC Beaton. Entertaining and fills a couple of hours. Thanks to Netgalley.

Agatha Raisin is back in this thirty-third instalment of the popular series by M.C. Beaton. In Devil's Delight it is the day of Alice Peters and Bill Wong's wedding and Agatha and her assistant, Toni Gilmour, are on their way there when they happen upon a man in his birthday suit running in the road. He is shaking and claims to have found a dead body so Toni and Agatha go to his aid...

Moving between humour and hazard, Devil's Delight kept me on my toes throughout as I devoured each chapter. Agatha might come across as a bumbling, hard-to-please fusspot at times, but she is a smart cookie and in this novel, she shows some vulnerability. With the resources she has at her disposal provided by others, she makes short work of what needs to be done. With some drama in the romance arena for Agatha which added another ingredient to the mix, there's more than one crime to sort and there was always something going on to keep my attention focused. The ending left me wanting to read another instalment in the Agatha Raisin series.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Little, Brown Book Group/ Constable via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

Agatha Raisin: Devil's Delight has all the hallmarks of a classic Agatha Raisin mystery, it's cosy crime personified. This time around, Agatha and her sidekick Toni stumble across reports of a murder victim...with links to a nudist society....obviously.

What follows is a riotous journey through middle England, with ice cream entrepreneurs, poisonous drinks and company embezzlement thrown in for good measure.

For Agatha Raisin fans, whether that's the books or the TV series, this latest novel is a delight!

Agatha is my guilty pleasure I have read all the books. This book like all of them before is a mad bonkers as the rest. Thank for the ARC it was joy to get it, while the book wasn’t as good as some previous it made me laugh more than once.
The stories are outrageous, you have to put all reality aside, but a hoot. You will definitely giggle with this one.
The book as like the rest is written in a copy and paste style, the plot and conclusion all as is with the rest but that makes no less makes a quick fun read.
For me as much as like books within in this book I found Agatha to be a particular pain in the bum, more so than usual. I don’t know if the ghost writer has fully got to grips with Agatha yet but I find some of the ways she reacts and behaves too much even for her, she hasn’t really developed much as a character in the way she did in the earlier books which is disappointing. Furthermore she lacks the sass and wit that MC Beaton managed to get just right.

Set in a nudist club there is murders, mystery and ice cream as well as Agatha’s usual exploits.
All the old faces are here with their usual but parts however there was no Roy which was a shame and not enough of some my favourites there was a lot new characters that really did not add to the story/plot would have liked to heard about some the old faces instead..Glad to see the cats have starring role as usual and sage of Agatha’s love life is still as mental as ever.

Three stars as it lacked something for me, this has been the case with a few books in the series so it won’t put me off reading Agatha’s next caper. Fan will enjoy and new r readers will be like “snakes and ba##ards” what going on here.

This is the 33rd in series - wowsers - and the second written on behalf of MC Beaton by RW Green. I have read and enjoyed all the previous books - I say read, but I actually mean a mixture of read and listened to - and thoroughly recommend them either for lovers of cozy mysteries or lighter crime fiction. Although often the crime is a bit grizly! I also personally used the series when I was playing catchup as a reset. When hard boiled crime got a bit too hard, or when I had just slogged through a marathon, it was great to be able to settle back and dip into Agatha's world - the people, the places and the shenanigans. To say I was gutted when MC Beaton died would be an understatement but I am happy to say that RW Green has picked up the baton nicely and the transition is almost seamless...
As we have got used to saying recently, the Queen is dead, long live the King!
So... Agatha and Toni are on their way to Bill Wong's wedding when they happen across a naked man. He is in a right state and not for lack of clothing - instead, as he explains, he has found a dead body. Obviously with no pockets (remember naked) he has no phone so he was running to fetch help. And help is what he finds with Agatha and Toni who accompany him to the body only to find there is no body.
And so begins the usual shenanigans, played out by the usual characters all acting in their usual manner. You know what you are getting into with this series by now, I don't need to spell it out and for newbies to the series, what on earth possesses you to start a series with book 33...
Anyway... the story piqued my interest from the off, held my attention throughout, had me running round trying to second guess but pretty much giving up, and left me satisfied at the end. Job done pretty much. Roll on next time...
My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

This is the third book to be produced since the death of author MC Beaton. The writer chosen to continue the series: RW Green, is doing a fairly good job continuing the series. There are moments when this is clearly not the work of the original author but, on the whole, it feels authentically Agatha Raisin. I enjoyed the story which is centred around members of the local naturists' club but found the plot a little difficult to believe, particularly towards the end. I suspect the majority of real-life naturists might even find the plot a little insulting as the denouement appears to associate nudism with pagan rites! One thing I liked was the way Agatha's team were seen investigating more than one crime, a more realistic scenario than merely focussing on one issue, and it also helped to create more layers to the story. All in all, this is an enjoyable (but fairly short) read which Agatha Raisin and cosy fiction fans should find most enjoyable.

As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the plot - you'll find other reviews like that out there already!

I've read most of the previous "Agatha Raisin" novels, originally by MC Beaton, and was a little worried that I might not enjoy this title - written by MC Beaton's chosen successor. However I need not have worried.

Agatha is the same as ever - though displaying a more vulnerable side in this novel, which I think adds to her character. A host of our old friends appear in this novel, together with some new and interesting characters.

Parts of the plot made me laugh out loud (without giving anything away, the novel features a naturist resort - need I say more!), and I really enjoyed the book. I love the way that there are touches of humour interwoven with the more serious side of the plot.

Looking forward to future outings for our intrepid heroine!

My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC. All opinions my own.

I love Agatha Raisin. I love reading about her but wouldn’t want her as a friend. She gets in too much trouble. She is hilarious and loyal and the series is superb. I love the new author too. He obviously knows middle aged women and the vagaries of middle age. Well done. More please! If I could give it more stars I would.

An easy to read cosy mystery.
Agatha Raisin is back and travelling to her friends wedding when she is stopped in the road by a naked man.
What follows is a funny story with the usual mayhem and criminal matters mixed together with a nudist club.
Agatha is once again unlucky in love , but is ever the optimist.
I like Agatha’s character she is not always amiable and she definitely has some faults , she’s funny and an astute business woman with her own preoccupation about how she looks .
The usual characters are back too but this story mainly involves Agatha and Toni her assistant .
R.W Green is doing a great job following M.C. Beaton’s death and hope there are many more books to come in the series.
Many Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK.

I am a big fan of the Agatha Raisin series, and I think R W Green has done a great job taking up the pen after the sad death of M C Beaton. This particular Agatha adventure is very funny, because the central case leads to Agatha getting involved with a nudist group!! I loved this story and read it all in a day. I couldn’t put it down! It’s a light easy cosy mystery, as you’d expect from this series. You could read this as a stand alone, but why deprive yourself of all the other fabulous books in this series? An entertaining read which I highly recommend. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free review copy in exchange for an honest review.
