A really enjoyable book tht I read in one sitting. It was a gripping read that had good pacing, well developed characters and a good level of mystery.

Every Rachael Rhys book is a treat and the well written, well researched and utterly enjoyable Tuscan Sun is no exception. This is the true definition of an immersive read, and the author also brings her considerable crime fiction experience to bear on a pageturning plot.

Simmering Tension…
A remote castle deep in the Tuscan countryside, a motley yet glamorous crew of people, simmering tensions and high suspense. Connie, the English woman working for the group ensconced at the castle, senses something afoot. Is she right or is she, in fact, losing her own grip on reality? With a beautifully written narrative, a sense of mounting tension, a well crafted cast and a deeply atmospheric backdrop this is an immersive mystery in traditional vein.

Wonderful

She has done it again with a novel that weaves around fact, fiction and everything in between.
There are some sad scenes of course, this being war, but there is intrigue and mystery too and it's a joy to read.

Clever, dark and recommended!

Connie is sad, bored and ripe for the adventure offered by the Manetti family.

But all is not as it seems in the Tuscan countryside and Connie needs to remember her strengths in order to protect the people she cares for.
This book had suspense, a real sense of things spiralling out of control and a plot that surprises.
Good fun

A great read from Rachel.. Constance had taken the job of companion/assistant to ailing William North and loved the beautiful Tuscan location of the castle and was drawn into the family life from the beginning.

Things started to take a sinister feel though as she started to think she was losing her mind whilst caring fir William. He was a very sick man whose health was taking a turn for the worse.aftrr a promising start to his recovery. It was a strange place indeed with it's inhabitants behaving quite bizarrely at times.

Evelyn was a very airy frivolous shallow woman with a daughter Nora who was subjected to her mother's whims and neglect as she pursued her own dreams and aspirations. Her handsome husband Robertio was involved with the Fascists.

Although Constance and her sin didn't have the best of relationships she was surprised and pleased to see him when he arrived at the Castle to see her.

I really like Rachel's books, the complicared characters, the twists and turns, and fantastic locations which really make you feel like yiu are there..

Thank you netgalley.co.uk. for the opportunity to read this page turner.
