It's literally everything you need in one book and it's perfectly written. It's great how neurodivergent and mental health rep was apart of the book, loved Bea and Jamie and the relationship they had. 100% recommend this book to everyone.

‘I have the epiphany amid the lusty haze that Jamie might not just be prickly but maybe a little promising too. Maybe he’s like my pet hedgehog, Cornelius. I just need to run him a bubble bath, then watch him unfurl and turn cuddly.’

What do I love more than a sweet, fake dating, rom-com?
A sweet, fake dating, rom-com with a side of normalising neurodivergence, mental health struggles and various sexuality.
.
Also, despite my love for a dark romance, the joy it brings me to read these gorgeous tales filled with patience, consent, understanding and openness is just another level.
.
This book really covers the opening up of 2 people who can come off as stand-offish, and how the things that they live with affect their appearance to others. They really find each other underneath the fake dating trope, and I LOVED IT.
.
The book is loosely based on much ado about nothing, by Shakespeare (one of my FAVES), and for me the ‘oh my goodness this person drives me CRAZY, then oh crap I love them!’ trope is probably one of my favourites.
.
I found myself highlighting so many quotes in this book. There was so much YES. Just YES to the feelings about living with anxiety. YES to feeling for what parts of us fit and running with it. YES to understanding. YES to consent. YES to being imperfect. YES to a man saying he doesn’t need to tell a woman how her body works.
SO MUCH YES.
.
It’s gonna make you work for the 🌶. There’s not loads, but when it happens, it’s perfection.

I adored this story. LOVED IT with my whole heart. It was a sweet and beautiful rom-com that celebrated all of us who function a little bit different than the status quo.

I absolutely loved this book - Bea and Jamie's voices were incredible, and the world building was great (who among us hasn't met a Jean-Claude?). I thought that the conflict was very believable, and loved how things came back together - and I adored the fake dating trope and where they went with it.

Two Wrongs Make a Right is swoony, opposites attract, fake dating, enemies to lovers retelling of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. It has a wonderfully neurodiverse leading lady and her knight in anxious armour.

I love Bea and Jamie in this story; they are so different but complement each other beautifully, making the other braver, happier, and more accepting of themselves. The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the third-fucking-act break-up. Gosh, it was all going so well. They were so happy together, imagining their future together, riding the love train, and then Bea, bless her soft, caring heart, brings it all crashing down. Safe to say, if I were Jamie, I would not be understanding or forgiving, but he's a better man than I.

If you want a swoony romance featuring beautifully flawed, neurodiverse characters, a meddling family and spicy sexy times, pick up this book!

I’m a huge Chloe Liese fan - I literally recommend her books to everyone who asks (and some who don’t ahaha)-, so I was pretty sure I was going to love this book and I did! From the characters to the plot and the fantastic rep, this was an amazing read and gave me all the feels.

This book was amazing from the very beginning. Using fake dating as revenge for their friends’ meddling was a great premise but the best part for me was seeing them grow closer and open up to each other. Even though their first meeting was far from perfect, the first texts they exchanged (before knowing who the other was) made it clear that there was something worth exploring there and I loved following them along. Seeing them slowly open up as they started spending more time together, with Bea sharing that she’s autistic and Jamie telling her about his anxiety and how it impacts his daily life, was heartwarming (especially if you take into account their reactions and how amazing they were).

I love Bea and Jamie, both as characters and as a couple. I loved the way Bea loved her family (especially her sister) and friends so fiercely, and how creative she is; it broke my heart to see her struggle with her lower-than-usual self-esteem (the result of a toxic breakup) but seeing her fall in love with such an amazing man put it back together. And Jamie was such a sweetheart! He was incredibly caring and just overall nice. His struggles with anxiety and the times he fell down the worst-case scenario rabbit holes hit close to home.

Both Bea and Jamie were incredibly lovable characters; their struggles were very relatable - I lost count of how many times I saw myself in them-, and seeing them overcome them and find happiness gave me all the feels.

I also need to mention how great the way they communicated was. I loved how open they were when they were together; they were honest and let the other know when something was bothering them. The fact that they were so attuned to each other that it sometimes seemed they read each other’s minds certainly helped but there was also a number of times when they just stopped to talk and ask what was wrong and how they could help, which was lovely.

I’m not going to lie, the 3rd act break up did piss me off a bit. I felt like it was a bit unnecessary (though aren’t they always?) but on the bright side, it didn’t last very long. And while I didn’t love it, I know Bea was just trying to do what she thought was best and help her sister so I can’t really be mad at her. Would I do the same? Probably not, but then again, I’ve definitely made plenty of decisions that I later realised weren’t very rational.

I loved Bea’s sisters and I cannot wait for their stories. They seem great and I’m excited to get to know them better and see them fall in love. I was a bit sad when I realised there was no epilogue but I’m hoping we’ll see more of them in the future.

Overall, this is an amazing book with fantastic, very realistic and relatable, characters you’ll love, amazing autism and anxiety rep, and plenty of steam. It’ll make you smile and laugh, and while it might break your heart at one point, it won’t fail to put it back together.

Jamie Westenberg and Bea Wilmot are fabulous together, hilarious when faking it and wholesome when not. I loved this story with its magical romance and swoonworthy moments.

I absolutely adore Chloe’s books, I love the way the plot, the characters, the spice - everything is well balanced!

I especially love the way she portrays neurodiversity, both Jamie and Bea are complex characters and I like how they both mend each others gaps.

I loved the beginning, the angst and tension were perfect and the way in which their love story develops occurs at the perfect pace!

Highly recommend!

Two Wrongs Make a Right is told from first person in the POV of both Bea and Jamie. It is a reimagining of Much Ado About Nothing. Bea meets Jamie at a party, and they have a misunderstanding, Bea thinks Jamie doesn’t like her when that isn’t the case. They end up being set up by their friends and decide to fake date to convince everyone they’ve fallen in love. But they begin to develop real feelings for each other and have to decide what to do. This is my first book by Chloe Liese and it was written well. It was easy to read and a fun, enjoyable experience. I think this will be a big hit and I can easily see this resonating with many people. Bea is autistic and pansexual, and Jamie has autism and has done therapy. The sexual scenes were quite enjoyable, and the tension definitely built up. The characters are said to be realistic, but they didn’t feel very realistic to me. The story did feel quite contrived to me and forced but it was an easy read and that’s just my personal opinion. Overall, I am giving this three stars. It was enjoyable but I didn’t really connect with the story.

This was a very mixed bag for me!

I really wasn’t feeling the first 15%, give or take, and I assumed I wouldn’t enjoy the rest of the book— I initially struggled with the dialogue mainly, and the writing style at times. It felt a little clunky, I can’t lie. and I was worried the book would be too tropey while relying too heavily on the tropes.

But I was won over by the pure softness of Bea and Jamie. My god that man was swoon-worthy. You can always rely on Chloe Liese to write the best heroes. He was hands down the highlight of the book for me— he was so precious, I adored the way he loved Bea and the ways he expressed that love. It felt so authentic and was undeniably sweet, while also being surprisingly sexy. The man was versatile, let me tell you!

While Bea, I fluctuated a lot with her, especially in the beginning. But once she and Jamie settled into a routine and really found their stride, I understood her so much better and found her to be so vulnerable and wonderfully endearing. I loved how she wasn’t afraid to vocalise how she felt, and she pushed Jamie to be better just as he did with her. They complimented each other perfectly. I really am fully convinced those two are soulmates with the pure way they love one another— it really made me emotional.

But, the reason this is only three stars is because the ending ruined the book for me, unfortunately. I found the inevitable breakup grossly unnecessary and it just left a bitter taste in my mouth the whole time. Then the subsequent reconciliation skimmed over all of the issues that the breakup brought up— I found Bea’s disregard for Jamie be so out of character, it was quite callous, in my opinion, despite her motivations (which I found to be weak, at best). I just really wish it hadn’t been included. After that, I emotionally checked out and didn’t really care about what happened. It just ruined all the warm and fuzzy feelings the pair had previously stirred in me.

On a positive note to end this little review, as always, Chloe nailed the neurodivergent and mental health rep, well as the handling of Bea’s sexuality. The scenes where Bea confides in Jamie about her sexuality and her autism were written so wonderfully— they’re powerful in their simplicity, the casual honesty and softness really made me smile. While little boy with the insulin pump made me choke up— seeing myself so casually represented really got to me, wow. I have diabetes, autism and anxiety, and the authenticity of all three conditions was amazing. Chloe Liese never fails me in this regard!

So, overall, this book was a whirlwind of emotions. I definitely recommend it for people in the mood for a swoon-worthy romcom that doesn’t conform to the typical, predictable tropes and gives you an authentic twist with heartfelt characters you can’t help but root for!
