Thank you Netgalley and Atmosphere Press for the chance to read and review this book.
I wish I could like the book more than I did. I really did like the poem Headstones set in rows and a few quotes from in the pale dawn hours, but I found reflections on a rooftop so boring I can’t go on ahead.
Grief and Her Three Sisters by Jerry Lovelady was a nice collection of poems about longing and regret.
Jerry's latest poetry collection, is about Grief and Her Three Sisters, he also explores the sadness of grieving and feeling the full weight of our regrets.- we all have them when someone close to us dies!
I found his poems very interesting which illustrated how grief can contain beneficial tools for solving the complex problems associated with living. If this book and poetry can help you, this is a book for you
Big thank you to NetGalley and Atmosphere Press for an ARC
Grief and Her Three Sisters by Jerry Lovelady is a beautiful and, at times, heartbreaking collection of poems of longing and regret. Each poignant verse is infused with the personal voice of experience, and much resonated within my very soul in the familiarity of grief and despair, but also as a subtle nudge toward the power that is held within a memory. By incorporating the elements of nature throughout, Lovelady reminds us of the infinite hope that comes from a life lived most fully. There is a lesson here for us all.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Atmosphere Press for an ARC.
