This wasn’t for me. I can see that the plot had potential but every page was weighed down with too many words and descriptions that did not add in any sense to the main plot.

While I thought I would enjoy this, I just found it wordy and too ....much.

Maybe I should have read the previous books to get into this. Maybe I would have like this.

While the narrator. Maggie, seems effervescent and interesting, I just couldn’t get into this. It was overly wordy and told me instead of showing me quite a bit.
I can’t tell if I should have read the preceding books or not. I was left feeling confused.
