I really loved this book and it had me in a flood of tears by the end. I could really relate to Emma’s fast paced life and feel inspired to look around my own life and focus on what is really important.

I liked the concept of the story but found it too repetitive for me so I lost a bit of interest. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. I first saw this as a recommendation from the Unmumsy Mum on Instagram so was pleased it was available to request. This was an interesting exploration of "what ifs" and whether making different choices can lead to a different outcome as the main character, Emma, lives the same day repeatedly to try and prevent a catastrophe. The characters were likeable and I was invested in the story, and Emma's character development was excellent. Although there were points I felt the pacing wasn't quite right, and I felt the ending was a bit abrupt - I would have been interested to find out what happened next - this was a very enjoyable read.

Even the greatest love stories end. But what if this one didn’t have to?

Emma is having the worst day of her life. Frustrating. Chaotic. And the only person who could make it better is dead by the end of the day.
Yet even worse than all of that: Emma keeps waking up to the same day, over and over again.
But what if this is a sign things could be different? Can Emma change the heartbreaking end to this love story?

This is my first read of 2023 and wow…I hope the rest of the books I read this year are as good as this one.

A thought provoking read that will stay with you long after you finish the book. It really does make you reflect about your own life. Keep the tissues handy!

Thank you to Harper Collins, Netgalley & the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. It was recommended to me and I couldn't put it down. It really made me want to appreciate all the small, every day things we forget about. A great story and characters, highly recommend.

I think I’ve find a new favourite author. Reliving the same day over and over is a preferred trope of mine. The writing was superb. I can’t wait to reread this story. I feel I will get so much more from it.

This isn't the kind of story i usually enjoy but thought i would give it a try. Too slow for me. I ended up skimming it more than anything. it was def emotional with a great ending but too slow in the middle.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Powerful and life affirming, So much more than five stars. If there is only one book you read this year, make it this one!

I saw this book advertised on HC Readers Room and was excited to see it offered as an ARC on Netgalley. This book was my first read of 2023 and will most possible be the best book I read all year.

The book centres around Dan and Emma's marriage, how easy we take things for granted and how we forget to look at what is in front of us and the most important things in life.

Emma wakes up in a groundhog day moment, completely reliving her husband's death. On each cycle she tries to stop the inevitable with both some positive and negative outcomes for her, her family and friends.

I finished this book in one sitting, I sobbed uncontrollably and yet it made me pause to reflect on my own life. Everything was just so beautifully written, so relatable to modern day life and up there as one of my greatest books ever.

Thank you so much to HarperCollins UK and Netgalley for this ARC. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to read such an amazing book.

I've been hearing about this book for months and was desperate to read it, as it sounded so, so good. I was delighted when I got approved for an early review copy, and the book really lived up to the hype and my expectations: it's romantic, moving, engaging, funny, and just the right amount of infuriating too. I loved it from start to finish and devoured it in less than three days.

Take a love story, mix it with a stress dream, add moments that will stop you in your tracks and take your breath away while somersaulting on an emotional rollercoaster. The best way that I can describe Maybe Next Time other than completely addictive.

Cesca Major absolutely nailed it with this one. Culturally poignant and poses such an important challenge on modern society. Granted, we live in a time where everything is too accessible, leading to an imbalance of appreciation for the little, seemingly insignificant things.

The timeline was utilised effectively- repetitive and meaningful. I’ve never read a book that made me constantly reflect on my life and own choices, quite as much.

A sensational read which I will recommend to everyone.

This book really put me through an emotional rollercoaster. I absolutely loved this but it is a heartbreaking read. I particularly liked Major's characters which is why I felt the emotion so strong but I was absolutely rooting for Emma and Dan the whole way through and I really wanted Emma to find a solution. But does she?
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for an advance copy.

Gosh, don’t read this without a box of tissues near by… this was an utterly compelling and absolutely beautifully written story. I definitely identified with Dan and Emma finding life was getting in the way of them as a couple and that the distractions of every day life were stopping them all from focussing on their relationships with each other, with their children and with Hattie too. What Emma had to go through every day for months on end, reliving the worst day of her life, was just unimaginable and so so sad. It was beautiful to see her make peace in the end and find the gift in the time they had. I genuinely enjoyed every minute of the book and devoured it in less than 24 hours because I just could NOT put it down. Would highly highly recommend

The first chapter gave me some good giggles but I could almost sense the repeated heartbreak that was going to come my way…
So many marriages get stuck in a rut and Dan’s and Emma’s was no different. This is a tale that makes you think to hold onto your loved ones that little bit tighter. It’s a tale to realise that you need to jump off the hamster wheel and make time for those you love.
Cesca’s storytelling is exquisite and my heart was on tenterhooks. As cheesy as it sounds, time passed me by so quickly whilst I was reading. I was absorbed. ‘Maybe Next Time’ is sublime. I was only a quarter of a way through before I decided that it is definitely going down as one of my books of the year!
