I read Hostage Three by Nick Lake many years ago and while I did rate the book 4 stars and mentioned the book very briefly on my blog (link below) I don't recall a great deal of other details about this book. Just the basic plot, a family is kidnapped by pirates and there is a hostage situation. I do remember that the strength of this book was what made me pick up the author's more recent book, There Will Be Lies, and that I have an overall positive opinion of the author in general.
