A lovely book, about family life, family drama and the things that are most important to us. I loved the idea of the family quilt such a lovely heart warming idea.

This was a nice and heart warming read about 3 generations of a family, a Grandmother, Mother and Daughter. They are all independent but when Penny, the Daughter finds herself unexpectedly pregnant they have to find a way of helping each other.
Some clothing has special meanings to me and I have bags of clothes that I can't bear to get rid of. Making a keepsake quilts sounds appealing to me, even though I am useless at sewing. I enjoyed reading this book and hearing about the memories that each item of clothing evoked.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for my ARC.

What a wonderful comfort writer this is.
Loved this heartwarming book a real cosy up with a cuppa read.
Spanning three generations of women soon to b a fourth, and how they all form stronger bonds while quilting. Going from the past to present day this book was well written and the times fitted in seamlessly
Fantastic read

This was an adorable read that I couldn't put down and I didn't want too. A lovely story spanning 3 generations. Well written, well developed characters and an enchanting plot. I loved it,

It is a beautifully written story with a gentle pace about three women, three generations of a family. As the grandmother and the mother work on their project tocreate a "keepsake quilt" for the baby, they remember events from their past. It was heartwarming to read about the relationships between them.
I can recommend this novel to anyone who loves family sagas and reading about strong women.

I received a free copy of, The Keepsake Quilters, by Felcity Hayes- Mccoy, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Three generations of woman quilters, and a cheater, I could not finish this book, when I read about the cheater, serial cheater too..

Thank you for the advanced copy.
My first book by this author, I was drawn to it by the cover.
Finished it in one sitting, I really enjoyed this, such a beautiful story spanning 3 generations. 3 incredibly beautifully strong women who realise more about each other as the quilt progressed. The characters developed well, well written and very enjoyable easy read.
Recommended read.

The Keepsake Quilters by Felicity Hayes-McCoy is a sweet and heartwarming story of memories and motherhood. The book tells the story of three generations of women from one family spread between Ireland and the UK. Penny is a successful TV producer on a popular morning show who loves her London life with her busy job and her perfect flat. Her life is about to change however, in the most fundamental of ways, she is pregnant and faces raising her baby alone. Her mother Val was also a single mother who raised Penny alone following the tragic death of her fiance. She would love to help Penny, but she raised her to be so independent that all her attempts to be more involved are rebuffed. Val turns to her own mother Marguerite for advice . Recently widowed, Marguerite has returned to her parent's home in Wicklow and is settling into local life despite it being a huge change of pace from London. Together the two women decide to create a quilt as a Christmas gift for Penny and the baby using scraps of materials that have meaning and memories tied to their family. It is through these fabric fragments that we learn each of the women's stories and see how similar they really are in so many fundamental ways.
I enjoyed this gentle read, sweet and simple like a warm hug and ideal for the cosy wintertime reading season that is approaching. The plot may not be the most dramatic but I was still engaged because I liked the characters and the way the story was unfolding.
I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are my own.

The Keepsake Quilters by Felicity Hayes-McCoy
One family. Three generations. And the threads that bind them together ...
Successful TV producer Penny has always been a planner. She knows exactly what her future looks like - until an unexpected pregnancy forces her to rethink everything, especially her relationship with the baby's father.
Penny's mum Val raised her alone and always taught her daughter to be independent. But she can't understand why Penny seems intent on pushing her away now, when she needs her more than ever.
Marguerite, Val's recently widowed mother, has an idea to help heal this rift: sewing together a keepsake quilt for the baby. But as the quilt takes shape, memories surface, and the three women begin to discover more about each other than they ever could have imagined. As Christmas approaches, will they finally realise that maybe they've been looking for happiness in all the wrong places?
A beautiful story of 3 female generations brought together via a quilt being made for the younger woman's baby.
Loved reading about them as individuals and also on their collective experience of being all together and the relationship they share..
