Little Loose Ends is written and billed as a standalone sequel. My only regret in reading it is that there were so many spoilers for the first book in the series that I hadn't yet read. But this was an excellent book with a fun twist at the end that I didn't see coming.
The main character, Victoria, is a new mom, wife of a cheating husband, privileged art gallery owner, and victim of assault. The complexities of her identity drive the story, and it's a fast-paced story. Even though references to the first book in the series were plentiful, they served well in helping me get to know and understand the characters and their motivations.
This book had plenty of twists and turns with a healthy dose of suspense along the way. It drew from the real life struggles many victims of assault deal with, having to bear the burden of "proof". The story was compelling, the descriptions were vivid, and the writing was skillful. This is a read I would definitely recommend for fans of psychological thrillers, particularly those with a strong female lead!
Hmmmm decent read this book had light suspense, intrigue, action, murder, and a bit of a who done it! The storyline was interesting and flowed nicely, I will recommend reading this book as it was worth reading but it was just ok for me!
