would like to thank netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this lovely christmassy feelgood book
if ever there was a feelgood factor for christmas this is the one
on the day that freya finds out her dad isnt her biological dad she also finds her fiance ollie in a compromising position
feeling like everything is the end of the world she cancels her wedding but with some trepidation freya goes down to seabreeze farm where the wedding was to be held and though she has cancelled everything to do with the wedding the room she has booked is still available
and its there that she can maybe make heads or tails of everything that she has learnt
could she really find out the identity of her biological dad but all she has to go on is that her dad use to live around the area of seabreeze farm...but nobody seems to know him at all
but this book is so much more with the lives of people at seabreeze farm and their growing menagerie of animals and the imminent birth of a new baby
such a lovely book for christmas
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
Freya and Ollie are soon getting married, the wedding taking place at Seabreaze Farm.
But, a few days before the wedding, she’s sorting out and packing up her late Mother’s things. In amongst those, she finds out that the person she thought was her father, wasn’t her biological father.
After visiting her Aunt, she goes to meet Ollie, but when she arrives at the place he is, she finds him with her best friend, and ends their relationship.
Freya only has her Mother and biological Father’s photo as well as the place name where her Mother was when she fell pregnant to assist her in finding her Father, who she wasn’t aware of.
Will Freya change her decision about her relationship after she finds out about her Father and the truth about Ollie and her best friend?
I recommend this book.
Oh the joy of being back at the magical seabreeze Farm. It feels like being home with family. The quirky times, the good times. But this time it is also about new found family. I love it. Thank you to netgalley for letting me read this e arc in exchange for an honest opinion
Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
This is the second in Jo Bartlett's series set at Seabreeze Farm, but could easily be read as a standalone. I enjoyed this festive story, just perfect for this time of year.
Thank you for this ARC!!
This is like a hug in book form, so cozy and cute!
This book needs to be a Hallmark movie asap. I felt like it was the perfect book for the holidays. There were some twist and turns I wasn’t expecting but I loved it so much
. 3/5 stars. I loved the characters and the way the scenery is described!
This is the second book in the Seabreeze Farm series, but it works well as a standalone
I definitely want to read the others in the series. This is a great way to escape and get the holiday vibes. Brb leaving and heading to Seabreeze Farms and never returning to reality.
Finding Family at Seabreeze Farm needs to be a hallmark movie! As if planning a wedding isn’t stressful enough Freya finds out her father isn’t actually her biological father , a secret her late mother had kept from her all her life. However that was just the start of it, a secret from her fiancé has left her shattered. An escape to find answers is what she needs and what she does.
This book was the perfect little book for a little escape into a mystery and love story bringing strangers to family and hopefully a little miscommunication come into light. Seabreeze farm is a little quaint place with amazing characters that have you feeling warm and fuzzy. I would definitely recommend this book!
Thank you to NetGalley, Jo Bartlett and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read and review this beautifully written Christmas Story 💕
When Freya gets 2 sets of devastating, life changing news on the same day she flees to Seabfreeze farm , one place she felt safe and comforted, the place that reminded her of her mother.
This book has everything from mischievous farm animals, a touch of mystery and intrigue with a little bit of a twist, some romance, found family, amazing new friendships, Christmas, snow and the gorgeous Cornish countryside.
I loved Freya as a character, I would have reacted the same way she did to the situation, not quite a miscommunication ( in my opinion) , I think she not only found family at Seabreeze farm she also found herself. I loved all the secondary characters too and loved Auntie Linda colouring her hair! Ellie and her mother Karen were understanding and just what Freya needed. Even the closed off Alan had a soft side. There was definite growth in Freya, she just needed that little bit of a scenery change to realise what she needed.
This is the second book in this series, but I don't feel it was a spoiler because its different characters stories, but I will be checking out any books in this series, the setting is simply devine and the characters memorable and truly likeable.
This was such a feel good book that has left me with the 'warm fuzzies'
Thank you netgalley and boldwood books for the arc copy in exchange for my honest opinions and thank you boldwood for having me on the blog tour
I loved this special family reunion. Freya had a lot of soul searching and a lot to sort through and she found her inner strength and Seabreeze farm was the perfect place to do it- for more than one reason.
It was great to catch up with Ellie and Ben and Karen and Alan, plus all the rescue animals.
Such a heart warming, family Christmas read.
I wanted to like this book, the premise was wonderful but I found the writing so bad that it was very hard to follow
This book is an absolute wonderful read. It's the perfect book to curl up with and forget about life for a little while. I loved the setting, the characters (human and animal) and the way the author brought the story to life. This is a book you don't want to miss.
I received a complimentary copy from Boldwood Books via NetGalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is a wonderful winter, cosy read which I whizzed through. It is so easy to read, enjoyable and entertaining.
I love Freya and following her life and dreams, But it was just a nice cosy read as there is a secret and a bit of mystery surrounding her father.
This story takes you on Freya's journey, it makes you laugh, makes you smile and makes you cry. It is heartfelt and heartwarming. Love Seabreeze Farm, love the location and the characters really made the story come to life.
A quick and easy read for me that I thoroughly enjoyed.
A wonderful heartwarming festive read.
Freya is ready to marry boyfriend Ollie in a winter wedding on Seabreeze Farm. When a shocking revelation about her family leaves her reeling, she decides to call off the wedding and escape to Seabreeze Farm to work out her feelings. Can the family living on the farm help Freya to find the answers she desperately needs?
This is the second book in the Seabreeze Farm series, but it works well as a standalone - I haven't read the first but will definitely be looking for it now! A wonderful set of characters, including a fabulous little dog, Ginger, who deserve many books to come.
Heart warning story with everything you need in a seasonal book. Sensitive topic of finding out a family secret handled well with a cosy feel. Curl up in a comfy chair and enjoy. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy
Freya has just discovered that the man she thought was her dad was actually her step dad and is devastated but she can't find out any more about who her real dad was as her mum had passed away
Ollie is Freya's fiance and they are about to get married until Freya sees him with her best friend and bridesmaid in a hotel restaurant looking cosy. Jumping to conclusions she tells him the wedding s off and cancels everything refusing to listen to his his denial that he has done anything wrong
Needing to get away Freya heads to Seabreeze farm where the wedding was due to be held to stay in secret and try to work out who her real dad could be as her mum had worked in the area when she was younger
Can she find the answer ?
Loved it
I really enjoyed this book. Freya was a really interesting character and I loved getting to see her journey from the rather rough beginning of the story to her happy ending. It was so easy to understand her reaction to what she saw between Ollie and Sophie. How many times does someone hear the "it's not what it looks like" response to something like that? And I would have been the same way with not wanting to talk to him. Freya needed time to come to terms with everything that was going on in her life and luckily Seabreeze Farm was there for her. I had a moment early on when I thought, "I wonder if Alan is her father" without any evidence that he would be, I just thought that would be a really nice discovery for him. I loved getting to see everyone from the first book and find out what they were up to now. Ellie might be too great a person to be real, but I hope there are people like her in the world. I loved getting to see how Alan and Karen are doing as a married couple and how Alan became a real father to Ellie. The ending between Freya and Ollie was so sweet and made for the perfect Christmas ending. I love Jo Bartlett's writing and am looking forward to reading more of her work in the future!
Freya and Ollie are looking forward to life together a planned wedding at Seabreeze Farm and a new life in London with lots of babies.
But life should never be planned out and Freya still hold a heartache of not knowing who her real father is and she is never going to give up searching.
The magic of this book takes us up to Christmas and has so many ups and downs along the way, I could not put it down and it will touch your heart as you turn page after page.
Once again the author brings the book alive like your in there with the characters, I loved every bit.
I loved this book and how it flowed. Some fabulous characters and I loved how the setting was described. Freya came across as a strong woman but one that also needed so much love and support. I really couldn’t guess which way this was going to go but thought that the way Jo Bartlett tackled certain topics was beautifully done. Although the story mainly centres around Freya I liked how the other characters and their own stories were portrayed. There was love, warmth and understanding and overall a fantastic read. Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.
Absolutely wonderful book. Great characters and a warm fuzzy feeling all the way through. Romance, Christmas, mystery and beaches. What more could you want?
Nice to be back at the farm with a different main character .We followed Ellie’s pregnancy . Met Freya who had run away from family secrets and a cheating fiancé . We had the animals. A lovely comforting read. You just slipped away from real life. Loved it
I really enjoy Jo Bartlett’s books, they’re becoming a firm favourite of mine. This was another great instalment, a lovely heartwarming story and a great wintertime read
