Melanie was able to take life experiences that make me uncomfortable to talk about and help me find love for the people who are going through those experiences. This book was real and lovable I also appreciate that it wasn’t a shortish book. I would recommend anyone looking for a spicy romance novel that has a good plot and a great writing style to check out Melanie Greene.

I have to sing the praises of Melanie Greene for this book. Melanie was able to take life experiences that make me uncomfortable to talk about and help me find love for the people who are going through those experiences. This book was real and lovable and as an added bonus, spicy. I also appreciate that it wasn’t an extremely long book. I would recommend anyone looking for a spicy romance novel that has a good plot and a great writing style to check out Melanie Greene. Not to mention this woman really knows how to write the personality of a golden retriever which I loved!!

Thank you GreeneLeaves and Netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
I didn't really love this one. I like to read to get away from real life and this books just dove way too much into topics that I read to avoid. I don't want real life mixed into my books.
It was still well written and I'm sure that it's for someone, just not for me.

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, from GreeneLeaves and #NetGalley. Thank you to the publishers, NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to preview and review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
An excellent read full of surprises.

TW: Abortion and Religious Shaming
Margo is ready to go-go on her next journey, but first, she has to make a pit stop at home for the holidays. Her family, her support system, the people that stood by Margo's side when they had to abruptly tear away from St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Cole, Margo's brother, does a little meddling before they get home and lands her a role at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with a set of handbells and a flame of passion. Will Margo Dunway rekindle her holy spirit or gently suffocate in the town she lost part of her identity in?
Karl and Parsley, the inseparable duo, are navigating a new stage in life. Both have golden retriever energy, especially since Parsley is quite literally a golden retriever puppy. A newly single Karl is ready to build the world he wants and not settle on matters as he did in his marriage. Karl Moore has a Passion for Bells and isn't afraid to ring them from the chancel.
Margo and Karl do not have the best history but perhaps both parties knew a different side of the story. History cannot be rewritten, but the future has yet to be told.
5his story lightly touches on the current legal impacts of abortion and how people shouldn't be shamed for seeking reproductive rights and healthcare. For a novel centered around religion, it was refreshing to see this discussion. The author, Melanie Greene, writes about accepting changes to identity and being yourself without caring about others' opinions. Overall this book shocked me and turned out to be much better than I expected. It spoke on some very real topics that many may resonate with or agree upon.

Thanks GreeneLeaves and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I got duped by this book, really. The blurb was intriguing enough to catch my attention, but… it was disappointing, really.
I liked Margo in the beginning, of how she was portrayed as a strong woman. However, it all went down from there. I didn’t like her til the end.
My first impression of Karl was that he was pathetic and sad, weak. His character grew on me exponentially, but that was all.
I didn’t enjoy the book, sorry. It’s a bit superficial.
