This was such an interesting read! I found myself so engrossed in the story, the characters had such incredible arcs, and I can't wait to follow this author's journey!

Thank you for the ARC of this book.
This story was a good read, it didn't quite hit what I was hoping for but this is for no reason other than personal preference.

I really enjoyed this fun, funny book.

It’s like the literary equivalent of the song ‘Escape’ by Rupert Holmes.

Thanks to netgalley for an arc copy of this book!

I’m still not really sure how I feel about this book tbh, the subject matter is obviously very controversial and I’m not sure how I feel about it. It was very cheesy at parts and I felt like the ending was just wrapped up too perfectly really. Yes they were talking to each other but I don’t see how that just negates all of their problems they had?

Overall I don’t think I would read this again, it was quite well written I just didn’t really connect and/or feel for either of the main characters really.

This was an easy, enjoyable read. I read it whilst on holiday and the characters were entertaining, if a little predictable. A good concept and good rom com.

I liked the cover and the title, I really thought I could and would enjoy this book but unfortunately I found myself DNFing it.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Fling is a genuinely funny book which takes a realistic view on the highs and lows of long term partnerships. The characters were likeable, the story was relatable and the plot moves along at an enjoyable pace.
There was probably over use of the hysterical woman, Neanderthal man tropes. And so many capital letters used in the arguments which felt unnecessary. And a missing word on page 181.
Fling is an enjoyable read, an escape to enjoy for a few hours, don't take it too seriously and enjoy some escapism.

I loved this book! I loved the characters of Tara and Colin, their bantering arguments and their friends who misguide them into going on an ap to have an affair! A really easy fun read!

Very clever....a couple who are bored of each other secretly sign up to a Fling app snd are 100% matched to each other. Of course, every time they go to meet they spot each other and one of them flees because neither of them knows its actually the other one they're matched with. A very clever premise, quite enjoyable!

Whilst I don’t want to give away the plot, I can only say Piña Colada! It was a shade contrived and the ending was never really in doubt, but it did seem to take the long way round to get there! The characters were both likable in their own way but I did almost give up finishing the book a couple of time although I did make it to the end.

After 3 failed IVF attempts, Tara decides she can't go through with it again. Her husband Colin wants to keep going. Their relationship starts to deteriorate. Then a new App appears and becomes a really big thing. It's called Fling and aims to match people who want an affair with no strings attached. For different reasons both Tara and Colin sign up and both get a 100% match. But should they pursue it? This story is really funny and poignant and I really loved the main characters. Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fun story of a couple struggling with IVF. The pressures of this cause a rift between them and there are hilarious consequences.

A few of us from my bookclub were granted the chance by the publisher and Netgalley to read this book and we were thrilled!
The book discusses some difficult topics that both individuals and couples can relate to and I felt the author dealt with these in a sensitive way.
I don't tend to read as many books by male authors but I'm glad I was approved for this one!

I was very skeptical to read a rom com written by a man but I will put that down to my own ignorance because it was great.

I enjoyed discovering new things about the character with many of them becoming incredibly likeable. It is well written and kept my attention throughout. It almost played like a movie. I could see each action running in my head like a film.

Well done to Joseph and an additional well done as it is his debut novel. If you haven't already, pick up a copy.

Really enjoyed this fantastic and engaging read from Joseph Murray. Not read one from him before, and I don't tend to read as many men as women. No idea why! I really enjoyed delving into this book world. Will definitely read more from the author. I did find it a little slow at first, but it didn't stop me reading to find out more.

This review is from an ARC from Netgalley and my opinions and reviews are my own. Thank you for the ARC!

Really loved Colin and Tara - even if I wanted to bash their heads together a lot of the time.
A lovely story that teaches you to appreciate what’s in front of you

I had such high hopes for this book. I'd never read a rom com set in Ireland by a male author before.

Unfortunately, while I did feel for Colin and Tara's plight, I found Tara really unlikeable and the dialogue was incredibly cliché.

Sadly, I dnf'd this book at chapter three.
