Thank you so much @netgalley and Berenika for the ARC! I really enjoyed it.

As we can see, it's the second book in Tiny Fox and Great Boar series and I haven't read the first one - a grave loss without a doubt. The story conveys valuable messages through small acts, passing on friendship lessons and reassurances. I love that it shows rather than just tell - one of my most favourite feature in any book. Paired with gorgeous illustrations, It has left me positively astounded with its educative, enrapturing and heartfelt narrative. Highly recommended!

This ebook has re-proved one thing yet again; "Do not copy others to become what they already are. They may have things you do not have but they too don't have what you have." This is my personal take from this book.

Here is a fox and a boar. Both started their journey by leaving their forest to exlore the world outside. Turn by turn they cover all topographical landscapes & enjoyed it as well but at last they came back to their hill realising happiness and peace lies within.

Illustrations were done like those were of all water colors and were so good for it. Learning for fact at last that Berenika did both the parts of writing and sketching on herself, made me appreciate her more. I would love to meet her sometime and learn her art of writing because coloring is my art too.

I got this on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

A beautiful sequel, with just as beautiful art! I really enjoyed this sequel, and although I didn't enjoy the story quite as much as the first book, it is still a good one! It perfectly shows the beauty of life, about how we always yearn to explore something new and how we sometimes can forget the things we have experienced before. It also discusses how we are all different, will experience different things and have different limits.

I really recommend this series!

The art in these books is just great - the watercolor environments are really atmospheric and give a dreamy feel to the adventures. I'm not totally sure what kids are supposed to get from this though, other than life is easier with friends, which is a great lesson to have.

I always love a book with great watercolor art. Something about that style appeals to me very much. This book is no exception.. I loved the almost abstract surreal dreamy art. The characters were simple and likeable and so was the story. All in all a good wholesome read. Perfect for little kids.

(Full disclosure: I received a free electronic ARC for review through Netgalley.)

Tiny Fox lives under an apple tree, just doing his own thing, until the day that Great Boar arrives and worms his way into Tiny Fox's heart. By the end Book One, Great Boar taught Tiny Fox some very valuable lessons about sharing, friendship - and bravery. Great Boar convinced Tiny Fox to cross the road at the edge of the forest (my heart was in my throat, I can't even tell you) and explore the great unknown that lies beyond.

Now, with winter fast approaching, Tiny Fox and Great Boar must traverse prairies, mountains, and even the desert in search of food - and new adventures! But when they reach the impassable limits of the sea and encounter a bob of seals, will Tiny Fox lose his dear friend Great Boar to these enchanting new acquaintances?

Though it's for kids, the artwork in TINY FOX AND GREAT BOAR is simply spectacular, and sure to win own a number of adults as well. While I enjoyed the first book in the volume, the plot with the fireflies really sent me over the edge from "like" to "love." Captivated by the fireflies that light up the night sky, Tiny Fox captures one in a shell to keep for his own. Now a scared and unhappy prisoner, the firefly loses his spark - and Tiny Fox realizes that the right thing to do is let him go. SO MANY FEELINGS.

Thank you to the author, Oni Press and NetGalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The unlikely friendship between two very different animals enters a new phase, as they leave the familiar forest behind and explore new landscapes, discovering new friends along the way. The message is simple but effective, although children older than pre-reading may find it too "babyish". The illustrations are works of art, vibrant and glowing.

Tiny Fox and Great Boar Book Two by Berenika Kolmycka - 4 stars

To continue on with the Fox and the Great Boar book two is just as lovely as the first. The Fox and the Great Boar leave the forest together and find new things all around them. New smells, new colors, a grand new adventure. I found the way the Fox and the Great Boar stayed positive and were able to talk about their feelings and concerns was a great addition to the story. Two friends who support each other and look out for each other is a great message in any story.
The watercolor in this story is breathtaking. I loved all the colors and different art throughout.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

I adored the first Tiny Fox and Great Boar book but this sequel didn't really have the same magic. Although meaningful with some good underlying messages, it wasn't subtle and bordered on preachy.

It's one of those things that can go both ways. You can say that Boar shouldn't envy other people's lives or aspire to be someone he isn't and instead appreciate what he has, or you can say that Fox is holding him back and lacking in imagination.

Either way, this wasn't well-executed despite good intentions and beautiful illustrations.

Thank you Oni Press for this ARC.

This is a sweet story about adventure and friendship. The fox and the boar are adorable. The plot is intriguing, especially the last chapter. And the watercolour drawings are absolutely stunning.

A children's graphic novel about friendship as a Fox & a Boar continue their journey. This is pretty basic but new readers may enjoy it.
(Thanks to Net Galley for this Book).

This is a really lovely book. The messages in the book are really thought provoking, yet I wonder how much of the message will really resonate with children of an early age. Yet, it is a great book to start discussions around nature, and animals, and how people can sometimes be a little selfish and not be happy with what they have.

It can be easy to find your comforts and close surroundings a little too comfortable. The everyday things you enjoy from your favourite shirt to your favourite breakfast cereal to your well run and comfortable daily routines. But life can get rather boring and awfully predictable living this way and sometimes you need to open the door, explore something new, take a few risks and experience the world in a different way. This can be a scary proposition for youngsters (and old people alike) and it’s so much better when you can have a friend along for the journey. “Tiny Fox and Great Boar 2: Furthest” tells just such a tale of discovery. With Tiny Fox and Great Boar embarking on a journey away from their well-known and loved home in search of new experiences. Through these three comic book stories, we follow the pair of friends as they learn about their new environments, each other, and more profoundly, about themselves. Berenika Kołomycka’s simple story, though straightforward, hides subtleties and encourages awareness of our own being and of the decisions we make. These three relatable stories are whimsically illustrated with vibrant ware colour flowers and trees and inviting landscapes. This is a wonderful little romp through Kołomycka’s invented world.

Teacher Tips

* How do the stories of Tiny Fox and Great Boar resemble events in students’ lives?

* Personal reflection: Have students ever felt like Tiny Fox or Great Boar? Either in the action or as the recipient of the action?

* What did Tiny Fox and Great Bear learn about each other? Themselves?

* The author encourages readers to draw their own plants - this would be a fun activity with students.

* As a class, write your own adventure of Tiny Fox and Great Bear.

A very child friendly (visual) picture book. The illustrations are very eye catching and I feel so much inference could be used in a lesson with this book. I like the layout of the text throughout the story as it’s quite different from most children’s books. Again, loads of transforming speech from speech bubbles into direct speech could be created if using this book for education purposes.

I would love to have a physical copy of this book in the future to share with my classes.

Thanks to NetGalley and Oni Press for an Advance Review Copy.

I loved Book One, as it was a beautiful book on friendship and it was just charming. So I was very happy to see that the second part was out.
The watercolour world of this series is absolutely stunning: the colours enhance the story and add dynamics and so much emotions to it! It was perfect for this time of year as it really had an autumnal feel with all the fallen leaves and trees and night sky with the fireflies.

This story carries on from the first one as the two friends carry on with their journey together. Tiny Fox and Great Boar are just so positive, they support each other, talk about their feelings and concerns, and even when they are not on the same page, they accept the other's decision.

A perfect children’s graphic novel, that I’d highly recommend and would 100% buy for my nieces and nephews.

Tiny Fox and Great Boar set off in the first book, and now they continue their journey. Plenty of things are happening to them, and you have the feeling that they are searching for the meaning of Life. This book has very good vibes - the characters are positive, they support each other, talk about their feelings and concerns, and even when they are not on the same page, they accept the other's decision.

Thank you NetGalley and Oni Press for accepting my request to read and review Tiny Fox and Great Boar (Book 2).

Author: Berenika Kolomycka
Published: 11/22/22
Genre: Children's Fiction

This simply illustrated cute story hides a couple lessons for kids on friendships. A parent or guardian could use the firefly story line to explain being kind to animals. As the pair venture on they run across other animals, weather issues and where do they sleep. The importance of staying together can also be taught with this book.

On the surface, this is cute. The illustration colors are inviting. The dialogue is short enough to add discussions.

I would gift this. A self-reader may be entertained and pickup on a couple social etiquettes.
