➠ 💭 Camille Pagán brings us another book that I am swooning over. I loved it. She brings us a story about a badass woman who has her dream job and is killing it. However, she also brings us a story about mental health, grief, loss, sadness, hopefulness, happiness, love, and so much more. It has everything you want a book to have all within.
Read this book if are experiencing some life changes and just need a good feel good book that will bring you through a beautiful journey from sadness and hardship to recovering through hard times. Read this if you like, brothers best friend, forced proximity, or a Michigan setting.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review.
Wow, I really enjoyed this book. I didn't want it to end. I wasn't sure where it was headed but I I enjoyed the way Aly & Wyatt (her late brother's best friend) found each other together in her late brother's house. They were both shocked that they each owned half of the house.
I found it humorous how they had to fought, and cheered when they fell for each other. I have to admit I cried at the end. I think the entire book made me emotional.
I have to take a short break afte this one and digest it.
A fun, breezy read perfect for the beach. Character driven while also maintains plot. Make sure to pick this one up for your next beach trip!
The book is well-written and engaging. The characters are relatable and the plot is heartwarming.
Aly is a strong and independent woman who is determined to overcome the challenges she faces. Wyatt is a charming and laid-back guy who helps Aly to relax and have fun. The relationship between Aly and Wyatt is sweet and believable. The book explores themes of friendship, family, and self-discovery.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good love story with a touch of humor and a bit of twinkle-in-your-eye sarcasm.
Cute book though a bit predictable. Nice easy summer read for fans of Pagan. Bonus points for a great setting!
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for this to read in exchange for my honest opinion. I have found a new favorite author! I stayed up WAY too late several nights in a row to read this, and neglected my family and household for this book. I found myself both ugly crying and laughing, sometimes in the same breath. I was particularly pulled into the character of Wyatt, and found myself wondering what Wyatt was hiding. When I found out, it really was an excellent twist to a book that was already great. Would definitely recommend!
2.5 stars.
the characters felt so flat & everything felt so surface level. even though this deals with very heavy topics like grief, losing a family member, having an abusive/alcoholic parent, it didn't feel like we ever delved into really how that would make someone feel. it felt like the author just relied on people knowing these things are difficult and didn't flesh out how they made our MC feel.
I binged this book in just a weekend. A pretty standard romance novel formula - career driven girl has upheaval in life, has to get away, meets boy, thinks it can't be a long relationship but slow realises she wants her life to change. Very enjoyable if predictable.
Overall a good read and I enjoyed it. It was sweet and endearing. I can tell it’s not going to stick with me very long though.
This is the first time that I have read a novel by this author and it was a pleasant experience. Pagán is a lovely writer and brought the story in Good For You together in a nuanced way.
As a whole, I found Good For You to be fine. Not earth-shaking, nothing all that new and exciting but it played on emotions and told a semi-interesting tale. I would say this is a dramatic and emotional story with romance mixed in. It didn’t knock my socks off, but I have certainly read less amusing stories.
For those that are occasional rom-dram (romantic drama) readers and want to maximize their reading time, I think there are better options out there. To me, this book is for those that lean toward a rom-dram as their genre of choice and are looking for a nice option. Here it is!

Everyone raved about this one, but I just couldn’t get into it. I’ll give it a neutral rating. Maybe I’ll try again someday. The cover is really cute.
This was the first book I've read from this author and it was just okay. It was hard for me to get into and the characters didn't keep my attention.
This was a touching story about a woman processing the loss of her brother, figuring out what she really wanted in life, and falling in love with a super great guy. I enjoyed it a lot and hope the author writes another novel soon.
Thank you to #NetGalley, the author and publisher.
This is the second book I've read by Camille Pagan and I enjoyed it more than her first one.
It's sort of sad, humorous, and a romcom.
I enjoyed the way Aly & Wyatt (her late brother's best friend) sort of bantered back and forth with each other and how shocked she was to find Wyatt in her late brother's house after finding out he owned half the house and was executor of his will.
It was a fast read and have to admit I cried at the end.
This book will make you feel all the emotions. The main character Aly is very likable and I was rooting for her the entire time. I enjoyed reading about her journey of finding herself and what truly matters to her. The ending of this book was amazing and it will definitely bring you to tears.
Thanks to Netgalley and Lake Union Publishing for a digital copy in exchange for my review.
When Aly is forced to take a break from her dream job after a public meltdown, she finds herself at her late brother's lake house trying to pick up the pieces of the last year. She is surprised to find her brother's friend had a similar idea and is living in the house. These unlikely roommates have little in common, but they have to find a way to live together. Can they help each other heal and find their way back to their lives?
This is a sweet, funny story with some very serious storylines. This is my favorite Camille Pagan that I have read. It is the perfect balance of serious and funny. I really related to Aly's character and rooted for her throughout.. I wish the ending hadn't wrapped up so quickly!
Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the ARC of this book.
Following a mishap at her job, the main character Aly decides to spend some time in her late brother, Luke's house. But upon arrival she is shocked to find out that she will be sharing the space with her brother's best friend, Wyatt. Ultimately shocked, Aly has to learn to live with Wyatt, but is there a reason they've both ended up in the same place at the same time?
This book was a sweet quick read that I devoured in one sitting. With themes of grief, loss, and love, this book hit all the right places, making me 'aw' and also tear up many times.
I felt as though the characters were quite likeable (sometimes they were a little irritating, but hey, what can you do) and had depth to them.
Watching the character development and also the connection between the two main characters grow was great and I felt like I was silently cheering them on throughout the book.
Camille Pagán knows how to write. The way she uses words to tell the story is what kept me going. There is something about the way she writes that drew me in.
Not my favourite read, but definitely one to recommend for a light read!
Title is no longer available to review . Title has been published.
Wasn’t able to read and review..However , liked the synopsis and I will be picking up this title in the near future .
Star rating N/A
I have really enjoyed quite a few of this author's novels. This one fell quite a bit short for me though. The main character was in a position of leadership in her job, however I felt that she was extremely weak and allowed herself to be pushed around. These two things do not go together in any way and it made it really hard for me to identify. She also lacked any depth and just seemed robotic in her responses and how she handled things. It was almost like life just had a convenient pause button in this book. As the book progressed, she got stronger which is just such a common trope that I wanted to scream. I did make it through, but mainly because I wanted to find out what happened to her brother and it was really just an easy read to get through. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.
As someone new to Camille Pagán's work, I was interested in the premise of this story, but I have to say it was the cover that really drew me in! I anticipated something that would make for a great beach read, not necessarily light (I welcome depth), but beachy, with warmth and a hint of escapism.
What I got was not that, but one woman's journey to fully face herself, her story, and the life she'd built running from her trauma. On one hand, I am 100% here for this. There are few things I love more than the late twenties to mid-thirties journey to stripping away all the things we think we know about ourselves and our lives. I think it's daring to navigate this concept in what I think some people might consider a (closed door) romance.
In the end, I struggled a bit with the execution of the story and largely with Aly. When I cannot fully engage with the main character, that's all she wrote, for me. I enjoyed many other things about the story, though, and look forward to reading more of the author's work in the future.
(I received a copy of this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my thoughts.)
