What a lovely story about friendship and self discovery. Archie and Esther make such great friends, I loved how they saw each other properly straight away and accepted each other warts and all. Watching their friendship grow and develop was great, they were destined for each other but had to get there in their own time and totally put their past firmly in the past.
Their families were great too, each supporting and loving them, the Quinn family seem like a fantastic family and I would love to see more of them, so fun and loving.
The Old Guys music group was fab, I loved how they rescued their instruments and how they brought hope to each other, the friendship and self worth so much more important than the music.
A lovely, heart warming and uplifting read.

Always a pleasure to read a new Miranda Dickinson with her trademark humour and enjoyable characters. We meet Esther who hasn’t had a great time in her life but she will keep on even if it’s not what people expect of her. So when she becomes a night cleaner at the offices of the Herald newspaper she gets to know the occupants of the desks so when she meets “Post it note guy” her life takes an unexpected turn and she makes a new friend when she needs it the most. Celebrating love and friendship and how important it is to life, such an enjoyable read to warm the cockles of your heart

I’ve read and enjoyed many of Miranda Dickinson’s previous novels and this one is a welcome addition. There is an engaging central couple and a cast of loveable supporting characters. A slow burning romance where the Manchester setting is a bonus. A lovely read which I highly recommend.

High praise for Miranda Dickinson on her latest book. If you are looking for a book that will keep you up well beyond bedtime because you can't put it down, then this is an absolute must. This is a love story with a difference, its heartwarming, it's fun and most definitely enjoyable. Wonderfully written with some fabulous, lovable characters. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

A wonderful feel good romance. Great characters you can really engage with, several twists to keep you turning the pages and a lovely back story. What more could you want!

Another fantastic Miranda Dickinson book! Having really enjoyed another story by this author, I had high expectations and this one certainly didn't disappoint. I couldn't get through it quick enough! Although you have a good idea of where the story is going to end up (or where you hope it is going to anyway), there are so many twists and turns along the way for Archie & Esther that you are never quite sure if they are going to get there. It is obvious that they are made for each other but they are trying to help each other get together with (or get over) the loves of their lives. That is the over riding reason for their friendship but will their real feelings win through?

I cannot rate this book highly enough - a great, easy to read story with fab characters that you just have to root for.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review, which is what I have given.

A story full of warmth with humour, and just enough, 'Will they, won't they,' to keep you intrigued. I also loved the way that the family relationships were portrayed- flawed but full of love. The main characters of Esther and Archie were endearing and just a little quirky; we had our villains to rage against' others to laugh at and some to befriend and cheer for. This was a novel full of heart and I really enjoyed it.

This is only the second Miranda Dickinson book I read, but her books have already been added to my list of comfort reads.

"All my love" was different enough from "The start of something", yet it had that common factor of our main protagonists getting in contact through some type of more old-school messaging. I liked that in this novel, the process is a bit quicker and we get interactions between the characters sooner.
As much as I don't love using this word, the book felt very wholesome. Both Esther and Archie felt that way and their families (maybe more Archie's) were no exception. That created an interesting contrast with the rest of the characters. But that doesn't mean that the book didn't cover some deeper topics. It's just that most of it was good wholesome fun. And sometimes we need that.

The romance was really fun to follow and it was done in a structure I didn't expect when I first read the book, so that was exciting. There were a couple of twists that I did not anticipate and even though I didn't love when they first happened, I know they were necessary for the book to have a proper conclusion.

So yeah, overall, a good fun romance. It was definitely what I needed to start the year off.

What a lovely book, what I needed right now.

Esther lost her job, lives with her sister and is offered a cleaning job at The Herald Newspaper offices,

Archie is wanting to be a journalist so is trying to work up the ladder. He loves to make lists and wants to write a love letter to another journalist.

Esther finds a crumpled piece of paper in a waste bin and starts writing post it notes to Archie.

It’s a lovely feel good book with laugh out moments and puts a smile on your face. The characters are engaging and interesting to read about. 4.5 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Archie and Esther stole my heart in this book. It’s a beautiful read of two unlikely friends who meet by accident due to her Esther wanting to stop Archie making the same mistake she did and not telling the love of his life the truth before it’s too late. As the two friends slowly start to heal their lives whilst writing a letter a beautiful love story plays out. This will not disappoint.

Review: the way this book starts...it just hooks you in and you are instantly connected to these 2 characters, you want to know them, you want them to know each other and you are just so drawn into their stories, separately and the thing that ties them together. I love any kind of dual narrative when I'm reading, but one that starts in post-its back and forth. It was giving me flatshare vibes and it was giving me Jojo Moyes Cecelia Ahern vibes. I just loved this book from the word go.

Archie and Esther are two very different people, they are on different tracks in life and yet somehow they very tenuous share the same workspace and this is what connects them. The other thing that connects them though is their love for love. Romantic love and family love and I just loved that about them. Both our main characters are at a bit of a crossroads both personally and professionally and so they have this in common too but they feel very differently about their own personal crossroads. I love Esther's spirit, she doesn't let anything break her, She has her goals in mind and she will do what it takes to get there. Archie on the other hand is very malleable and soft-centred and so definitely needs a push in the right direction to assert himself in any areas of his life.

One thing that Miiranda Dickinson always has in her novels is music, particularly live music and this book is no exception. There is a playlist at the end of the book but most importantly there is also a band. A band made up of mostly old men. A band who are not very good at playing music but form the heart of this book. This band is so pivotal to so many major scenes in this book. It has heart and it is the grounding force for both Archie and eventually Esther too and so make sure you pay close attention when the band of the old guys comes up because you know that something is about to be revealed or some drama is going to unfold!

There is such heart and such love in this book I could literally feel it warming my heart. I wanted to keep turning the pages right from the beginning and I loved getting to know Archie, Esther, their workmates, their families and of course, the band, so much over the course of the book. It's one of those books that you didn't want to end and the only thing I can hope for now is a sequel or at the very least, a novella of an epilogue!

I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.

This lovely romance follows Archie and Esther. Archie wants to become a reporter and is in love with a colleague in the office. Esther has just started a cleaning job at the newspaper office after having a rough time in her life.

One day Esther comes across a screwed-up love note in a bin and decides to leave a note to encourage the writer to carry on. That note is written by Archie who after a chance encounter asks for her help.

They soon become close friends, but both start to dread the day the love letter is complete.

Will Archie write the perfect love letter? Will Archie get the girl he desires?

This is a lovely romance to read and there is plenty of comedy moments too which helps show the pairs growing friendship.

It is not only Archie and Esther’s friendship you get to see as there is another group they visit which shows the importance of having good friends in your life.

You get to hear from both of the main characters which I love as it shows both sides of how they are feeling and how their relationship is growing. It is heart-warming to see how much they build each other’s confidence and make them believe in themselves.

Overall, a lovely romance where an unfinished love letter leads to an amazing new friendship and maybe more.

I love this authors books and was looking forward to reading this. This was a fabulous will they or won’t they love story and is a heartwarming read filled with friendship family love and compassion and was a perfect escapism read. This would also make a fab tv adaption as the characters would come alive on screen even more than they do in the book. Another great read from this fab author.

This is a lovely story which absorbed me from page one. Archie and Esther - their paths cross over the components of a love letter. Both become part of the other’s story while in relationships with other partners. Both have to work out who they really want to be with and what is really important to them.

A charming love story - a delightful read.

A beautifully wrote love story that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The characters were great, well described people who I loved from the very beginning!!.I can see the sequel now.....Esther and Archie the future years!!.
I knew from the beginning that this would be a great read. Miranda has a knack of describing her characters in such a way that they become like old friends to you and that makes such a difference when you're reading a story, you become a figure in their world and you see it, see them, it's a fantastic place to be! Especially when The Old Guys make an appearance!!!.
I feel happy, sad but most of all, satisfied!.
Many thanks to Netgalley for my free arc book for an honest review.

A sweet, cute tale with two people who have very large hearts. I liked the will they wont they aspect and couldn't wait to see the ending and how it all panned out. Just lovely.

Esther suffers from heartbreak and the loss of her Marketing position, resulting in her taking on an evening cleaning job at a newspaper offices. Archie works there as a general dogsbody whilst dreaming of becoming a news reporter - and Jessie, a co-worker.
This is definitely not a book for those who prefer fast action, rather a slow burn looking at how two people gradually realise what they really want. I did feel for both of them, whilst at the same time being frustrated with their progress. I did love the idea of the group "The Old Guys", a band formed to play music on old, rescued musical instruments where the idea is to enjoy themselves over actually playing music in tune.
Years ago I did a cleaning job and it brought back memories of how you can have pride in doing a job well, no matter what it actually is. Overall a warm-hearted book for those who appreciate slow-burn romances.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influenced my review of the book.

When I started this book, I totally fell in love. But unfortunately, by the time I'd got about halfway through, I'd lost a bit of interest.

Archive has had a crush on colleague Jessie for years. And he's trying to put his feelings in a letter. Frustrated at not finding the right words, he throws his attempt in the office bin.

It's found by the night cleaner, Esther. Esther is slowly trying to rebuild her life after losing it all.

She leaves a note for Archie. And so begins the most gorgeous friendship.

She helps him find the words.

But he's told them to the wrong girl.

We can all see that Archie and Esther are meant to be. But it just takes so long for them to get there that I became disengaged and lost interest.

Definitely a book of two halves for me, and whilst I still enjoyed this sweet romcom, it just meandered too much.
