I loved this book! I read it in one sitting. Sometimes the people we love are not always the ones we need. I love that Ester and Archie relationship started out a bit unconventional. But was so refreshing. Will definitely be reading this book again.

I was disappointed with this book which didn't live up to the previous book I read by Miranda Dickinson. A couple of characters who didn't seem to know what they wanted and took far too long to make up their minds. It's about a hundred pages too long. There are a couple of lovely moments and comments but not enough for me to give this book any more than three stars. With thanks to NetGalley. the author and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this title.

A classic ‘will they, won’t they’ story. There is so much hope and positivity in this book and I thought the Old Guys band was a brilliant idea.
I did think that the whole will they get together or not scenario went on a bit too long, but all in all it was a pleasant read.

Love blooms from a crumpled piece of paper. Esther finds a discarded love letter when doing her evening office cleaning job. She decides it needs to be finished. This leads to an unexpected love affair of her own. A touching romantic story, full of heart-warming characters. My favourites are The Old Guys, possibly the least tuneful band ever, but still enjoying making music together. I found it confusing sometimes, because the chapters are narrated alternately by Esther and Archie, the writer of the discarded letter. If you're a quick reader, you don't tend to look at chapter headings. Great fun to read.

Esther and Archie work together composing a love letter to the girl he's fallen in love with at work. Esther is recovering, badly, from a broken heart and losing her high powered job. Can they both find happiness? A really enjoyable read, perfect for a cold winter's day. .

Will they ever find the right job and the right person? Life has a way of changing your direction and not always in a good way. Picking yourself up and finding a new direction and friends is always amazing. This is what the story is about. What you think you need isn't always what you need. A heart warming story about finding things out for yourself and finding the people who cheer you on and upwards. The small thing's mean as much as the major ones.
Enjoy I did

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I loved this book, it was a page-turner.

The story of Esther and Archie, who meet when Esther finds a post it note was so beautifully written.

The supporting characters added to the adventures of both main characters.

I could not put this book down.

I recommend this book.

I was invited to read this book by the publisher, which I was delighted about. I'm so pleased I was given the opportunity because I absolutely loved it. I was hooked by Esther from the outset and desperately wanted her to be happy. I'm definitely a fan of Miranda Dickinson and I couldn't put this book down. I definitely recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the invite to read this book.

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I have to say it is just as engaging and as enjoyable as the previous book. Not only does Miranda Dickinson have a wonderful way of writing, for me she makes a real connection with her readers and is very good at capturing her characters feelings, emotions and thoughts and making them jump out from the pages and into my mind. I could picture a lot of the scenes when reading. I loved the two main characters Archie and Esther and liked that the story was told by them in turn throughout the book and from their perspectives. This is a very good, light hearted and uplifting read where I was drawn into the story right from the beginning. Archie and Esther have unrequited love for others and meet and form a friendship that is just lovely to read about. Add in family, friends and other characters and you’ve got a book full of some quite lovely moments not just between Archie and Esther but with other characters too that really made me smile. I loved the ending, it was very fitting for the story. Overall, a very well written and entertaining read that I thoroughly enjoyed. If you like romance books then I think you’d like this and would recommend it.

Another sure fire hit. Pure fantastic Miranda. I fell in love with both Ester and Archie the moment I met them, along with some loveable supporting characters and a couple of ‘bad guys’ this was the perfect book to escape the January blues. 5 star fiction at its finest!

What a lovely book about 2 people who are trying to find love.
Archie works at the Herald Newspaper as a assistant to the editor. Esther is staying at her sister's house after her boyfriend marries someone else. She gets a night job as a cleaner where Archie works and when cleaning the desks finds post it notes on Archie's desk who has a crush on a fellow worker. Esther writes a response back on a post it note and that starts a communication through post it notes.
They finally meet and a friendship begins as they both try to find love. This is a really sweet and enjoyable book about relationships.
Highly recommend look forward to reading more Miranda Dickinson books.
Thanks to NetGalley & HQ for a ARC.

This is a real feel good contemporary romance. I really liked that it was set in Manchester rather than your typical london location. A feel good read about Archie and Esther, and their chance meeting over a post it note. A great one for the beach!

A lovely, heart-warming read. The two main characters are sweet and wholesome without being annoying, and there is a good cast of supporting characters. It is set in Manchester (UK), which made a refreshing change from London. Whilst the premise for the meeting / love story requires (significant?) suspension of disbelief, the characters' journeys after that are broadly plausible and ultimately satisfying. Just what I wanted from a relaxing romcom.

This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work.

The E-Book could be improved and more user-friendly, such as links to the chapters, no significant gaps between words some text written has been typed in red and a cover for the book would be better. It is very document-like instead of a book. A star has been deducted because of this.

The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

Ok, I had one problem with this so let's get it over with very quickly; it's so fast! Esther and Archie exchange one anonymous and two signed letters before (accidentally) meeting in person and immediately becoming each other's Most Important person. They've known each other for literally two dozen words.

However! That's a minor thing, and the book is long enough without adding a drawn out courtship to it as well, so let's move on.

I love, love, love the relationship between Esther and Archie. The snark! The jokes! The poking at each other! It's absolute #goals and I smiled every time they were together. They were so much fun to read.

The story itself was much longer than I thought it would be, but I never felt bored or like it was dragging. There were a lot of twists and turns and the story kept moving without dragging. I would love to see this filmed - I say that about several books, I know, but I think this one would be really good!

I enjoyed this very much, and if you're a romcom fan this one should definitely be on your list.

This book is fantastic. A real page turner. Although I wouldn’t expect anything less from Miranda Dickinson.
Such a great storyline beginning with Esther and Archie meeting over a post it note. So many great characters and fun adventures throughout the book. I loved the romantic element along with the humour. I could not put this book down. A must read!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.

This was a thoroughly lovely book from the first page. I loved the main characters, Esther and Archie and the supporting characters were in the main lovely. The story is a real will they won't they love story and you can't help but root for them. Lovely read in between physiological thrillers

4.5/5 stars! Oh my gosh!!! First of all, I love Miranda Dickinson. This book was yet another major success story. This is a contemporary romance with warmth, sweetness, and kindness towards the main characters as they grow and find their way to each other. This is like "The Lake House" and honestly that's how I pictured the characters because Keanu and Sandra are couple goals. The author did a great job of making the characters 3-dimensional and making us fall for them.

I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
