I loved this book, I read it in just over a day. Like the author’s previous books, the two main characters, who alternate voices chapter by chapter, are immensely likeable and good people.

This is a real feel good book, and it’s very readable. It’s slightly frustrating that Archie and Esther don’t see what’s in front of them all along, but it’s worth it for the end.

Read this book, you won’t be disappointed

What a lovely book! The characters, setting and storyline are perfect for a cosy read. You’ll find yourself rooting for Esther and Archie, but there are some characters you just CANNOT warm too (such is life!). I loved the family ties, particularly from Archie’s side, my only slight issue is the amount of ‘Northern’ nuance used. It felt a little put on, I’m writing this as a northerner from around the area.

Esther and Archie are new literary favourites (I’m sure I say this EVERY time when I’ve read a Miranda Dickinson publication). Starting off Winter reading with an advanced copy of this book was such a treat.

This is a gentle romance, a nod to traditional love letters and the beauty of the written word, and woven within the pages is the complexity of family relationships, romantic relationships, and the importance of just loving and understanding yourself too. There is a brilliant host of characters (The Old Guys are FANTASTIC!), and this is a book that I cannot wait to hear narrated in Audiobook version too, because I just know that the words on these pages are meant to be spoken out loud and why stop there… this would be the perfect romantic comedy on the big screen!

I did like All My Love but I didn’t enjoy the whole not knowing if they liked each other or not, I felt it dragged out a bit too much, and I honestly liked their friendship more than anything else. It was a nice read and I wanted a happy ending for them. I especially liked the band and the idea of only having instruments they had rescued!

Oh my goodness, my heart is full to bursting point!
I love all of Miranda’s books and they just keep getting better.
Meet Archie, a wannabe journalist who has a crush on a coworker but can’t tell her.
Esther, who is trying to pick up the pieces after her life has taken a big knock, starts working evenings in the office Archie works.
They connect and quickly become friends helping one another try to win the hearts of the object of their affections, but are their hearts looking in the right places?
A lovely story of never giving up hope, surrounded by loving, strong family, friends, cake and some exceptionally bad music 😊

An easy and enjoyable read with very likeable characters, this is another cracking story from the amazing Miranda Dickinson. Although dealing with aspects of unrequited love, this is mostly a very hopeful, optimistic book, full of the joys of love, friendship, family and relationships. A little predictable but very good!

4.5* A gentle love story

Miranda Dickinson has written a very clever plot, if you’re looking for a fun romantic read, this is a great choice.

Archie Quinn's ambition is to become a journalist at The Herald newspaper where he works as an assistant to the editor, he's also in love with a glamorous colleague who barely notices him.

One night Esther, a cleaner at the paper’s offices, finds one of Archie’s unfinished love letters. She responds by leaving a note on his desk encouraging him to complete and send the letter. The next night she discovers a response from him asking for her advice. What follows are two strangers writing brief notes to each other while composing Archie's love letter. When they eventually meet they become the best of friends and, not admitting their attraction, continue to think that their love lies elsewhere.

Family and friends all play important parts making this a light-hearted, enjoyable read.

This is a perfectly enjoyable RomCom with engaging characters and it zips along. Archie and Esther are well written and their journey together has some very sweet moments. The Manchester setting was appealing but some of the geography and dialogue choices grated a little. It won't change the world but it will provide enjoyment by the pool or curled up on a sofa. (Copy received from Netgalley in return for an honest review).

A gentle romance, which was a bit twee at times. I also felt that the author was trying to force conflict where there wasn't really any. The letter was made much of, but it was underwhelming. I found Esther a bit annoying at times to be honest. There are lots of pluses though. The old guys are brilliant. I liked the theme of friendship. I also liked how Esther found herself I suppose, doing the cleaning job. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Miranda Dickinson has created a heartwarming tale of two people who come together in unlikely circumstances to help each other resolve unrequited love. The story is written in a way that the reader is drawn in quickly to both Esther and Archie’s lives and the note that brings them together happens early on. I loved the way the majority of the story focused on their struggle to support each other, which only brings them closer together.

Another heartwarming hit from Miranda Dickinson. Full of warmth, humour and Northern charm, Esther and Archie are a wonderful couple and nestled in my heart. This gentle romance has soul and is an ode to love letters and finding the one.
As someone from a Mancunian family, the banter, dialogue and Archie's close knit family made me homesick and added to my love of the book. It's one I'll revisit and cherish.

I really don’t know what to make of this book. It’s certainly been a while since it’s taking me over a week to read a book… I’m a bit confused about all the five star reviews here?! It was okay, and it definitely got better towards the end. But I just struggled with this. I love romance novels but this was so cliched. And there was something I didn’t enjoy about the narrative voices. I mean, it was all based around this love letter that turned out to be pretty underwhelming but kept referencing it as if was some profound masterpiece. There was also just too much talk about “my heart” this and that. I just feel a bit meh about it. Not sure I would pick up anything by this author again.

After reading more smut-heavy romances, this was such a refreshing change. Esther and Archie are an absolute dream, and the build up of the book felt really pure. A few things bugged me, but that didn't detract from what was a beautiful book about both love and friendship!

Come and fall in love with the Old Guys as well as lots of others. This is just my favourite story by this author, there was just something about that sucked me in and made me want to ignore the rest of the world and follow Archie and Esther on their journeys as they swept me up and wouldn’t let me go. I adored meeting them and the band of characters they bring along the way. From family to friends, to post-it notes, they all play their part, and the post-it king will always have a spot in my heart right along side Fred. This is a great story and one that will remind us all that there are so many different types of love in the world, and we could all do with more love in our lives. I love how strong fate is in this story as well, as I am a sucker for fate and the part it plays in our lives.

A very sweet tale of Archie and Ester. Their love story begins with a note that Archie is writing to another woman, post it notes conversations, meeting about Archie not missing his chance to say the words to a woman he has been crushing over for so long. Ester is still reeling from no telling Matt that she loved him and passing up her chance. Let's just say the ending is the one we all see coming but the journey is a sweet one in this book.

Archie - the post it king and Esther - the cleaner meet and decide to help the perfect love letter for Archie's love interest Jessie. While Esther hasn't got over Matt. The story looks at friendship and love. A slow burn read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

I just loved reading the friendship of Esther and Archie as they navigate their own stories of unrequited love and heartache and try to help each other tick off their ultimate goals. What they find is much more than they bargained for. This is such a warm & comforting book that focuses on the power of friendship, self-belief, and family that has your back no matter what.
