A sweet romance of a florist, Dax who has to go pick up an old, school flame coming back to town, broken hearted, from the airport. Hollyn is his best friend's sister and he realizes that she's going to be living with him. He still nurses a huge crush for her, but right now, she needs a friend.
And if he's going to win the wedding flower decoration competition that will get him the capital to buy his father's flower shop back, he's going to need an assistant.

How they get on with the competition and each other makes a delightful story.

A sweet, romantic and uplifting read - well written and the characters are brought to life perfectly.

I found it slightly slow to start and a bit predictable but overall, an easy light read with romance at its centre.

4.5 stars rounded up. He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not was a fun friends to lovers romance. Hollyn just got dumped by her boyfriend of 8 years. He sold their apartment, handed her a cheque that was only 1/3 of what she put into it, and gave her an airplane ticket home. He is getting engaged to someone who is more appropriate to marriage to someone of his standing. She has nowhere to go to calls her brother, River. River says she can stay at his place with his roommate and best friend Dax, and he will stay with his girlfriend until she gets on her feet. Dax was their neighbour growing up, and unbeknownst to her, he has been in love with her for the last 15 years. The problem is that there's a bro code in effect and Hollyn has been off limits all these years. She moves in and realizes that Dax has grown up and matured and she is attracted to him. Dax wants to buy the shop that was previously his father's florist shop, but to do that he needs to win a contest on a youtube channel. The next thing you know he and Hollyn are working together, traveling together for the show and becoming more and more attracted to one another. Will their relationship work?

I really enjoyed this story. Not only is it a friends to lovers, but the best friend's sister trope, and boy next door as well. The story was told from both Dax's and Hollyn's POV which was nice. I liked that this was a mix of humour, drama and growth. Holly grows from a broken, depressed woman to an independent, strong and loving person who knew what she wanted out of life. Her ex was awful and I loved that he did get his comeuppance. The descriptions of the flower arrangements in the contest were wonderful and I wish I could have seen them. Overall, this was a fun romance with great characters and situations. I enjoyed it and recommend it to those who enjoy romance. There were a couple of steamy scenes but it was not too bad and I didn't have to skim too much.

I loved this book! Holly and Dax's story was great. The romance is perfectly swoony with a touch of pining, just how I like it. Will be looking forward to reading more from Brown.

This was a really sweet ( if a little predictable) book. Hollyn came home after a relationship breakdown and her brother River and his best friend Dax are waiting for her. Finding your feet after a breakup is difficult, but it always helps if the neighbour who has loved you forever is waiting for you

Dax every time he tried to deny his feelings around Hollyn. And while I loved the idea of Hollyn - a girl running from her past who ends up making some hard-to-overcome mistakes, only to find her happy ending with someone who was right in front of her the whole time - I just had such a hard time connecting with her on the page. I didn't dislike her; I just didn't love her, either. Overall 3 stars

Cute story with a fun premise, I read it in one night!

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

If you are looking for a sweet, funny, mostly clean romance novel with an absolutely too good to be true male lead then this the the one for you. He Love Me, He Loves Me Not is a friends to lovers, brothers best friend, forced proximity story and its a really good one. I absolutely fell in love with Dax as I assume everyone else who reads this also will. His story and Hollyns is so sweet and even though I was annoyed at times with her complete obliviousness, I still enjoyed it all. I would really like to read the stories planned for Mercy and River and hope to learn more about all the sides characters as well.

This was an incredibly sweet and cheesy in a good way book if you can get over the whole professor power dynamic everyone in the book didn’t take too seriously.
I had a hard time getting over it personally…

I really struggled to get into this book. The characters weren't that interesting and it was very confusing. I thought it would be a good book especially with our main girl Hollyn trying to get the money back her ex is trying to screw her out of but like her brother has more concern in getting her money back than she does. The parents are unsupportive and don't seem to be happy that their child is away from an older man who essentially groomed her and drove her to be isolated with no job and no home??? What kind of family is this when the parents keep going on how they want to be part of her life? Like you are her parents not her friends! Why did you allow this to happen and now that she needs you you push her aside like this was ridiculous. Its the same stuff being told over and over again and oh my goodness the writer telling you the time and place e.g. next morning like if you are good at writing you don't need to do that! If its been a few weeks or months thats fine but not every chapter and even mid chapter! Let your writing set the scene. Honestly I would have dnf'd this sooner but I skim read to 62% just to see if my theory on the best friend was right and it was and she and another character are just gross.

This was such a cute read and had a good balance of slow-burn, second chance love, and friends to lovers tropes. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a feel-good romance.

I adored this story! I need me a Dax. He was grade A book boyfriend material. I loved the brothers best friends, forced proximity vibes. Hollyn really grew on me as the story went on. She was a bit of a mess at the start of the story with no real direction in her life until everything came crashing down on her. Dax really helped her through and I loved that she came alive while helping him with his job. A great story which really made me laugh at times. I hope there will be more in this series as I loved the characters.

This is such a feel good story! I loved Dax and Hollyn; they had great chemistry and we're justvl meant to be together. I'll be looking for more from this author.

I unfortunately did not enjoy this book. The pace of the book was incredibly slow, waiting until more than a 1/3 of the book was read before it started to slightly grab my attention.

Also Hollyn seemed immature for an almost 30 year old. It was also very insta-lovey how she fell for her friend who’s been there for years when she’s suddenly single.

Such a sweet sweet story

I love that it’s written from both Dax and Hollyns perspectives.

I love the relationships between friends and family.

A reel feel good page Turner.

First of, I'm getting a bit tired of the trope of the absolutely horrible ex-boyfriend. Hollyn's ex is so comically a bad boyfriend (not abusive), that I really wonder why she even stayed with him. It gives the book a somewhat weird starting point, because they way she acted in the relationship and then acts because of it is super strange. She didn't even really want to marry him, but at the same time is absolutely heart broken.
Dex on the other hand is a playboy for reasons that don't add to the story at all. To each their own, but it is a bit of a red flag, when an adult man has had only friends with benefits arrangements and no serious relationship.
The book itself is written pretty well, but much of the conflict and storyline feels somewhat forced. No one really communicated and it got tiring after a while. Not a bad book, but not really for me.

Be prepared to add Dax to the favorite book boyfriends list! This was the sweetest childhood pining to reconnected friends to lovers story. The banter. The chemistry. The friends and family Dax and Hollyn have in their corners. Also the absolutely melting moments of sweetness (the rooftop stargazing scene!! 🫠🥰🫠)

You can't help but fall in love with Dax and Hollyn's heartwarming story! It brings all the warm fuzzies you get from watching/reading your favorite romcoms!

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my review!

He Loves Me, He Love Me Not was my first book my Aimee Brown and I really enjoyed it! I love a good forced proximity romance. The chemistry between Hollyn and Dax was great. And I loved that Dax was a florist. I would have loved even more elements of his work and the contest they were participating in! Overall a fun read!

Hollyn Matthews has made some colossal mistakes in life. When she's dumped just as she's expecting an engagement ring, she knows she's put her heart into the wrong man. Hoping for a second chance at being a grown-up, she moves home to stay with her brother and his best friend Dax, a boy whose memory faded as she ran away from her past. Facing the hurt she left behind means facing some home truths about herself, but there’s one boy who has always loved her, if only she’d take the time to notice him.
