Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this eARC.
This is an absolute gem of a read, and the authors DCI Rob Miller books are fast becoming one of my favourite series. Here Miller and his team investigate a murder in Soho and when another victim is found a few days later with similarities the investigation takes an unexpected turn. I love the authors writing style, her books are always a pleasure to read and her main character DCI Miller is so very likeable and believable. I enjoyed the lovely glimpses into his home and personal life and have really liked his character development in this series. For me, this is the best book so far, it is so well written, very engaging, fast paced and flowed seamlessly and I was hooked from the first page to the last. I loved the twists in the story as it raced towards its conclusion - and the last part of the book was a very tense and thrilling read as the murderer was revealed. Overall, a brilliant read which I loved, if you like good solid police procedurals I’d recommend this book although if you’re new to the author you’d be best to start at the beginning with The Thames Path Killer to get to know Miller from the start.
5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for the eARC.
This, the 6th in the DCI Rob Miller series, was very good, but not my favorite. Surprisingly, the killings, while gruesome, bored me a bit, but the rest of the book was terrific. I love Rob and his happy family life with his wife, baby and adorable dog and also enjoy his team, His boss, not so much...
The ending was a surprise to me, and overall the story was excellent. I really recommend this book and series.

Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, mystery, and great police work! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I will definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Book 6 in the DCI Rob Miller series.
When Rob is called to a body discovered in Soho Square he is appalled to discover the body has been whipped, tied up and dressed in bond age gear with a ball gag inserted in his mouth. Is this a sex game gone wrong or something darker. When the results of the PM come back he knows there's a sadistic killer in the loose.
This is the first book I've read by this author but it certainly won't be the last. With believable, likable characters and a fast paced plot that keeps you hooked I read this book in one day. A brilliant police procedural that I will highly recommend.

I found this to be a gripping and thrilling murder mysyery taking place in iconic London settings, against a backdrop of environment protesters, who were using up police resources.
We have DI Rob Miller a family man, whose father is taken into a London police station for questioning, his wife who works for MI5 and her boss is murdered. I loved how it all intertwined and nicely came together. One not to be missed.

A man is discovered in a square in London. He’s dressed in bondage gear, restraints and a ball gag. Nothing unusual there – it is Soho after all. Except this man, whipped, raped and strangled, was definitely not a willing victim. His heartbroken husband agrees this was not part of their lifestyle. Before DCI Rob Miller and his excellent Major Investigation Team of DS Jenny Bird, DS Harry Malhotra, DS Will Freemont and DC Celeste Parker can get too far with their inquiries, another unlikely and almost identical victim is discovered and soon after, a third one. Have they got a serial killer on their hands? As the papers feature lurid headlines about the Soho Killer, every promising lead takes them in a different direction and into another dead end. Will the team ever manage to break this case and discover the killer’s true motive? Rob is still brooding on the threat made to him by dirty copper and organised crime boss Cranshaw from a previous case when his father turns up in trouble after years apart, but could he actually prove to be some help for once? As Rob struggles to keep his family safe and catch a very clever ruthless killer, will it all prove too much this time?
This is an excellent police procedural, right up my street, with a clever twisty and tense plot and some very likeable detectives, which I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Part of super series of books, I can absolutely recommend it for anyone who wants a gripping read to keep them completely hooked! 5*

Such a unique book, I loved the plot and oh my god the characters we're so amazing!! I definitely will be recommending it!!
