This is my first book by this author and I loved it! 3 short stories but all connected and they all worked! I loved the aspect of the women in each story as being strong and intelligent, working in male dominated sectors facing male dominating challenges. And then throw in attractive, intelligent love interests and spicy scenes and I was hooked I have to say! Apparently I enjoy enemy to lover scenarios, who knew!

An incredible collection of short stories that were well written with compelling storylines and well developed, adorable characters. There was a good amount of spice and I left loving all the characters, I have a few new book boyfriends for sure.

I knew I would love this because Love on the Brain and The Love Hypothesis were both so good, but I LOVED this. At first I felt a bit meh about the idea that they were short stories - I had no idea they were all linked. It actually ended up feeling like reading one amazing book and I loved they way all three stories connected and featured pretty much all of the characters. The last chapter was just 🫶
I still feel a bit bereft though - each of these could have easily been a full novel that I would have devoured 😭

3 novellas,
Just what I wanted, needed even!
Spicy, adorable, addictive, fabulous,
Loved every minute of them!
Under One Roof
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
100% loved it.
Adored it.
Want to read it again and again!
Mara and Liam find themselves living together, and lets just say it's not love at first sight.....or is it?!
Mara has the right outlook on life: 'See, that’s the thing I hate the most about adulting: at some point, one has to start doing it.'
Her and Liam's secret pining for each other was a joy to behold! 'Maybe that’s what he majored in at Dartmouth: Snow Shovelling. Nicely complemented by a minor in Muscles.'
Stuck With You
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
It all starts with a croissant!
And what it leads to is hot with a capital H!
Erik Nowak, Scandinavian, viking-like god and Sadie Grantham, both engineers, both totally into each other.....with drama!
Below Zero
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hannah and Ian Floyd, Mara's cousin or something!!!
Commitment-phobe Hannah is at NASA and so is Ian.....they hit it off....until they don't.....but then he's her knight in shining (snow) armour when she needs someone most!
That extended epilogue, loved it x 100!

Another perfect rom-com Ali Hazelwood story! This was unique compared to Love on the Brain and the Love Hypothesis because it was split into three stories about three friends. It is of course hard to ignore the similarities in the stories with 6ft plus men.. generally all round big guys if you catch my meaning .. who all happen to be incredibly smart and protective with ‘she’s mine’ vibes. I think Ali has a type!
Despite the similarities, I binged the book, loved the humour throughout and each story equally. If you are looking for a low stakes romantic comedy with quite a bit of spice… this is for you!

Love all the novellas, they were adorable, perfect and steamy!
Under one roof: Mara and Liam are so cute together and I just loved every part of this short story.
Stuck with you: The friendship between the girls is just awesome, I love it, and I love Sadie and Erik. Their short story felt like a whole story not just a piece and they are just so funny and cute together.
Below Zero: It is simply impossible not to love Hannah, she is funny and sarcastic and passionate. I also love Ian and Hannah together, they’re great together.
I would love to read more stories of all of these characters, I love every minute of this book.

'Loathe To Love You' by Ali Hazelwood is a compilation of the authors novellas that were published in 2022 plus an extra bonus 'epilogue' chapter that lets us see how those couples got on.
Individually, I did enjoy all of the stories. I thought the author did a good job in creating well-rounded female protagonists with excellent backstories and fears. I felt like the length was just about right and there was great tension. All of the relationships followed different paths and were told in a mixture of flashbacks and 'real-time' that kept me turning the pages.
However, as a compilation I felt that the similarities between the male main characters became glaringly obvious. I just didn't really care about them and felt their personalities and body-type were pretty interchangeable. Maybe all romance novels suffer from the same problem but with the female characters being so well developed I felt that the male ones were very flat 'female fantasy' in comparison. Maybe I wouldn't have noticed so much if I had read these novella's over a few months, or maybe I'm just holding the author to a higher standard that I typically would for romance novels.
Overall, this is another great addition to my bookshelf, right next to all Ali Hazelwood's other books.

I think if you’re a fan of Ali Hazelwood’s full length novels then you’ll enjoy these 3 short stories which follow a similar pattern.
For me I found it slightly hard to get into the characters in the way I have with the full length novels, but I still enjoyed the frothy fluff of these and the refreshing change that is female characters working in STEM and engaging in proper science.

I don't think I've come across an Ali Hazlewood book I don't like and these novellas were a hit too! Ali Hazlewood knows what she likes and these novellas were her usual MO but this isn't a bad thing. After all if it's not broken ... A wonderful evening read.

4.25 stars
As a fan of Ali Hazelwood's previous books, with Love On The Brain being one of my favourite reads of 2022, I was so excited to read Loathe To Love You and I definitely enjoyed the amalgamation of the three interlinked novellas.
I feel like I should really rate each of them separately, so here's a little mini review of each.
Under One Roof: this had some nice forced proximity and pining and I was willing the two characters to eventually get together.
Stuck With You: I liked the whole, forced to be in an elevator with what seemed like their nemesis idea, even if the reason that they're not talking is because of miscommunication. It was a different take on a romance, in terms of how it was set out, which I did enjoy.
Below Zero: again, this had miscommunication but it wasn't the kind that really annoyed me. I maybe didn't warm to this one or Hannah as much as the others but that might have been because it was feeling real similar to the earlier two stories.
Now for what didn't quite work for me. While there were three different stories, the actual makeup of each of the individuals in them was so very similar.
All of them women were short and then men absolutely massive.
I would have loved even a bit of a variety. Each steamy scene focused on how 'big' each of the men were and how it was a struggle for them to fit (sorry if that's TMI but I have a feeling if you're reading this review you should kinda know what to expect from these books).
It just felt a bit repetitive, the same when it came to the descriptions of the men. All three of them were incredibly tall, broad and built. And now that I think about it, the same could be said for the men in Ali Hazelwood's first two books too. I know we can expect a bit of disbelief but how realistic would it be for three women to all have love interests who almost mirror one another in size and height. All that identifies them as slightly different is their hair colours.
Did we need the bonus chapters? Not necessarily, in terms of what it added but I did like getting the men's POVs.
Overall, these were quick and easy to read and definitely enjoyable.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have never been so happy to be approved for a book! Ali Hazelwood stole my heart from the get go - as always. This is a beautiful set of stories that I could not put down. Loved them and cannot recommend them enough!

I did not expect this to be the The STEMinist Novellas, #1-3 so was very surprised to have a copy of each of them, and Ali Hazelwood did not disappoint.
I was a huge fan of The Love Hypothesis. I love a sexy, slow burn romance because the sexual tension is something else and these three novellas were no different.
The three books are interlinked as it’s about friends: Mara, Sadie and Hannah but could be read as a standalone however, there are references to the characters throughout the books.
I think my favourite one is with Mara who moves in with her mentors nephew and from there, the slow burn begins. It was intense, slow yet spicy the it needed to be.
I loved Sadie and Hannah, they are fab friends who were supporting Mara 100% of the way.
It’s the perfect amount of spice and smut in all three novellas. Ali Hazelwood hit on some important topics throughout the novellas which are still very relevant to todays society and she isn’t beating around the bush.
I loved them all and would highly recommend if you want something light, sexy and a slow burn romance.
Thank you to @netgalley, @alihazelwood and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for allowing me a copy of this ARC!

If you like Ali Hazelwood you will like these novellas. She smashes it out of the park again, filled with our favourite tropes, forced proximity, enemies to lovers & grumpy sunshine.
Each novellas is based on a friends love life. Mara, Sadie & Hannah! Individually they are fun little novellas all set with Women in stem at the front (as a woman in stem this makes me happy). But when read together in this book it connects it all a bit more. And the bonus chapter at the end made me happy!
If Ali Hazelwood writes it…I will read it!

I really enjoyed this book. The stories were sexy and a lot of fun. I enjoyed all three characters and liked how their stories connected up.

I'm a huge fan of Ali Hazelwood, I absolutely love both her novels and I was so excited to read these novellas. I was NOT disappointed because they were so so good!
The three novellas focus on one of three friends, Mara, Sadie and then Hannah. They are mentioned in all three stories which adds a nice link.
Mara's novella has a close proximity romance, when she inherits a house from her mentor, she moves in alongside her mentor's nephew. They don't get along at first but then they slowly become friends and then something more.
The second novella follows Sadie, it's a second chance romance as she and Erik meet once, have a magical night together but then don't speak again until they are trapped in a lift during a power outage. Forced to confront one another, it becomes clear that their lack of communication has been detrimental for them both.
The last story features Hannah. She is working on a dangerous project in Norway for NASA when she gets stuck with no hope of rescue. Luckily, Ian, a former flame and NASA genius, is there to save the day.
It's truly hard to say which one I liked the most as they are all wonderful. The spice levels are perfect and I love the male protagonists in each story. The bonus chapter was so lovely too. Mara, Sadie and Hannah have the kind of friendship everyone dreams of and then the romantic partner to boot. The fact that they are also women in STEM just makes the stories even better, and Hazelwood isn't afraid to talk about sexism in the workplace and discrimination faced by her protagonists.
If you liked her other novels, you'll love this one too!
The only thing I would say, and I don't really think of this as negative, is that all the stories are quite formulaic. The male love interests are all pretty similar too, although they do have their own quirks.
Such a fun easy read and I'm so glad they are all together in one book!

Ali’s written is so fun and magical that you can’t help but be drawn in. She creates such funny, loveable characters that are just a joy to read about.
The steam is also INCREDIBLE which we always love to see.
My only negative really is that a lot of the exact same things come up in every book. The constant mention of how big the guys are (in height and build) and how tiny the girls are (fitting both hands all the way round their waists). Always enemies to lovers. I’d like a bit of a switch up in tropes / body shapes etc.
But aside from that, I have zero complaints! Loved!

I’ve heard about the hype for Ali Hazelwood but shamefully, have yet to read any of her books. As a woman in STEM myself, I keep hearing about her books from friends and social media and she’s been an author I’ve kept meaning to get around to reading!
So when I came across this one, I thought brilliant! Perfect opportunity to get a feel for her books with these short stories. And have to admit, right from the first page of reading I was kinda hooked! I couldn’t get enough of the story and I was so drawn in I practically read it in one sitting.
The first short story was ‘Under one roof’ and I immediately fell into the story and just had to see how it would play out. I loved Mara’s character and her inner monologue was hilarious and so entertaining. I loved the forced proximity element and the banter between her in Liam was truly on form. I loved it.
Second story: ‘Stuck with you’. Stranded in a lift with a guy you hooked up with. One that looks like a corporate Thor? Doesn’t seem like such a bad situation… except Sadie is still in the death throes of deep resentment and not only being stuck in a lift constitutes her worst nightmare, but stuck in a lift with Erik is a double dose of hell.
This was another great story that really drew me in. I couldn’t wait to see the conflict unwind and it was another entertaining story. As long as you’re okay with plenty of spice, I mean, I’m getting it now that this author really doesn’t hold back and loves her graphic sex scenes.
And the final story, Below Zero. Here we join Hannah and a brief brush with near death on an arctic mission… I loved this one and it was my favourite I think. As I love all things space and astronomy, this one had the edge but it was an entertaining story, as all of them were.
I also loved that all three had slightly overlapping and crossing elements between the characters and the bonus chapter at the end was a brilliant addition. I loved it and finished then all within two days and I think I may now have to go and check out her other books!

It’s so refreshing to find a women in STEM book! I loved the characters, and how they were good at their jobs, but they didn’t define their characters. Each story was basically the same premise; the woman meets the man, takes him to bed, hates him the day after, then several months to a year down the line meets him up close again and so begins their journey etc. I wished the basic premise wasn’t the same in each story, as it made it very predictable, and I also wished the sex scenes weren’t so graphic as I felt they took away from the story, and made it unsuitable for younger women who could use these stories as inspiration to pursue stem careers. An ok quick read, with lots of potential

Three friends. Three men. Three stories.
If you want a chocolate box of romances from Ali Hazelwood then this is certainly for you. We follow the individual lives of three best friends, Mara, Sadie and Hannah who are engineers trying to deal with male dominated environments. The stories are effortlessly linked through their conversations, showing the deep connection that they have. The men in their lives are, like all of Hazelwood’s men, deliciously attractive and gorgeously kind- in fact it is a challenge to pick a favourite! I thoroughly enjoyed the novella element as it was like being given three nuggets of romance- all heart-warming, endearing and compelling reads.
Once again, I loved Hazelwood’s writing and character building and simply cannot wait for 2023 when the next novel is published. In the mean time, read and enjoy with relish this delight!

This book contains three brilliant novellas featuring women in STEM and some lovely classic romcom tropes including forced proximity and enemies to lovers. Fans of Ali Hazelwoods other books The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain will enjoy these characters and their stories. This book was the perfect collection of cute, easy romcoms that I really enjoyed reading
