I was a big fan of comic books when I was younger and I loved that the hero despite everything that stands against, they still win. The author wrote an inventive hero, Elizabeth. Elizabeth has been helping humanity for a long time and one event changed her life. Now, humans are aware of Meta Humans and they're weary of these new people. I loved this story and the author is very creative as a storyteller and the plot ingenious. I am a fan!

Thank you to BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for the ARC. I requested this book because it is a superhero story and I enjoyed the illustrations that popped up in the book. Overall, this was an okay book. It hit a lot of the expected moments of a superhero finding their way and getting into fights and the self-sacrifice at the end. The overall book was fine but I was hoping for more. After I got about 45% into the book, I started skimming as I was not invested anymore. I wanted to like this but it is just ok.

Guardian was a wonderful story that spins or perspective on super heroes. It’s always so fun to read such a strong main character and I look forward to reading more by this author or other similar stories. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!
