This sweet and positive picture book tells the story of Lilah, a little girl who is happy and confident. The illustrations are colourful and interesting and help tell the story. The font is large, but a bit hard to read at times, especially when it is over top of the illustrations. It is a nice picture book that I could see young readers enjoying. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book!
This children's book feels like a very positive one. Spending a day with a little girl called Lilah, readers get to share in her many fun adventures.
It's a rhyming story so it flows really well too. It's a little longer than some children's books so I don't feel it works as a bedtime story but it's a lovely one to read during the daytime.
The illustrations are bright and colourful and it's a very joyful and positive story which I think a lot of people will enjoy.
Thank you NetGalley and Atmosphere Press for accepting my request to read and review Lilah Loves Life.

The cover and its vibrancy is the precursor for the illustrations throughout, as well as the overall tone of the story.
The book is 100% sunshine, with no complaining: three meals a day, a mom, a dad, and a kiss when tucked into bed. Also, the child plays happily with her dog. Of note, Lilah is illustrated in one scene left-handed. I did have an audible reaction with that's cute and a giggle 'bubbles are light and airy, and I imagine some of them carry a small fairy'. This tickled me as I have always wondered about the fascination with bubbles.
I was struck by the perfect life depiction, and found myself wondering who would I gift this to, and the answer is I don't know. My biggest fear would be callously picking this up and having it just handed out to anyone. Perhaps you know an appropriate recipient.
