This is a good book, it has suspense and romance. The two main characters are Locklyn and Forest. Locklyn is a veterinarian. Forest is a property manager. He has bought the house across the lake from Locklyn’s house. One night he is trying to get the squatters out of the house. He has police to get them out. He meets Locklyn that night. They have an instant attraction. They start to date, but the squatters start shooting at them several different times, go out to remote areas for business, and land them in the hospital. They love each other.

Locklyn in is the new vet in a small town. She bought a cute house with a pound and she’s happy. Forest found his dream home…it needs a lot of work and has a few squatters but it will eventually be his dream home. When he meets his new neighbor who happens to be the town vet he is smitten. As these two get to know each other they couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately they are being targeted is it the former squatters? Why won’t they leave them alone? How dangerous is this going to get? This is a great page turner with a lot going on. I really enjoyed the love story between Forest and Locklyn they were both extremely committed and all in no matter what. The story was quick paced and sweet. I would definitely read more books by this author.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this book!
I really enjoyed this book! A fast-paced read that pulled at my heartstrings.

A sweet story of love developing, Forest is a real estate manager trying to evict his squatters and Locklyn lives on other side of his property, they both find love whilst dealing with extreme circumstances. Nice author to look out for in the future.

Forest and Locklyn meet one very early morning as the Sheriff clears the home across the pond from squatters. She has had run in’s with the brothers and is happy to see them leave.
As the two talk, the attraction is instant, and the two bond over a possible puppy adoption. But someone is causing troubles round their properties. Locklyn had come to Peak Valley for a fresh start, starting her own Vet Clinic was her dream. Not expecting the drama of danger after she moved in.
Forest is a real estate developer and had purchased the land next to Locklyn, but as the squatters took some time to be removed, they had not met before the night of the eviction. Are they the ones causing all the trouble for them?
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This story took me by surprise. I was not expecting Locklyn and Forest. These two meet under strange circumstances but the attraction is instant.
They start spending time together, and quickly fall in love. But danger is close by, trying really hard to break the happiness they found in each other's arms. The story is fast paced and I reached the words THE END too soon for my liking. I really wanted to see more of them and how they manage their lives once the danger has passed.
Overall this was a nice way to pass the time. It was engaging, heartfelt and swoony all at once.

This book was an intriguing bit of spicy. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think you will too, if you're looking for a bit of sassy and swoonworthy romance.

We met Forest James in the a previous book about his sister. He is a property manager who meets the neighbor at one of his property’s and has an immediate attraction.
“Forest,” she sighs in her sleep, relaxing against my chest. I brush a kiss against her head, falling back asleep with her floral scent in my nose.
Locklyn Lawrence is the new veterinarian in town. When Forest comes to adopt a puppy he asks her on a date and there love story begins along with some suspenseful moments.
“I love you, too. So much.” I press my lips against his, overwhelmed by happiness and excitement.
This is the final book in this series and I’m definitely going to miss this town and it’s quirky residence.

4*
Forest is a property buyer and manages many very successfully but his recent acquisition by auction isn't made easy by the Kearney brothers.
Locklyn lives over the pond from Forest & loves her property the only downside been the brothers and the goings on.
They are introduced through an incident at Forest's and become a couple.
I loved reading about the characters and watching them grow closer Locklyn's confidence growing with Forest been so supportive.
A lovely story.
